Are any of this weekends games being streamed then? On holidays so was hoping and expecting to have at lease one game to watch online!

I'd even tolerate Jerome's commentary on this occasion  ;)

Having asked the question I abandoned my laziness and looked. Cargin Brigids is being streamed. The option to turn down the commentary is available to all purchasers free of charge.

Portglenone Vs LD probably the most interesting game of the weekend, if Casements as strong as expected they should be overcoming LD with ease however easier said than done!

Why would that game be the most interesting?

In my opinion, the later game in toome is between two main contenders for championship.

What you think of that BigGreen?

The mighty Cargin who have dominated the Antrim Club Championship for 10+ years wouldn't fear St brides who have only ever got to 1 Senior Semi Final before? or would they.....

LD should be getting blown away, they have shown before though they are the type of side to be a stone in anyone's shoe cone championship, don't think Casements would panic either way but the risk of an upset (albeit slim) makes it more interesting.

The game in Toome is probably the better game, but Cargin at home on a mission to show they ain't for the old people's home yet isn't an interesting story at this stage.

Everybody has a different view of what's interesting!

Hoof Hearted

Cargin v Brigids should have a championship feel to it
Loser, whilst obviously not out, will have big game against st galls.
there also isnt much love between the 2, should be tasty
plus its at the best venue in the county for a game. should be a few good neutral heads about

Steady on their Colombo.

Most eyes will be on Cargin...reports are they had a good pre cship.

Thats the focus you get when you are championship favourites. Isnt that right BigGreen?

From where Im sitting its wide open this year...underestimate amyone at your peril!

Quote from: bannside on September 09, 2018, 11:35:48 PMWe struggled past an under strength Rossa team and though we were 9 or 10 up at one stage I was glad to hear the final whistle. On today's performance we won't be any use to St Galls.

LD impressed me when they beat us a couple of weeks ago. Very strong physically, and Creggan put away a Cargin team handily enough on Friday night to suggest they are serious contenders too. Wide open this year as previously suggested, probably about six clubs thinking they have a chance if things go their way!

Bannside change the record man 🤣 Each year you have been saying the same thing, yet Cargin have won them all bar 2 from the date of this post of yours. Think they won it 18,19,20, 22,23 & 24.
Your reliably consistent. 🤣🤣
And I genuinely love your optimism and I also enjoy your contributions.

Thanks DK, if you can wade between my serious posts and wind ups lol.

I said 8 yrs ago that it was wide open and still think that wasnt too wide off the mark. Been so many very close games during that time, semis and finals included, extra time and extraordinary comebacks. But to give Cargin their due, they have a rare quality of eeking out wins when they were most needed.

They wont step aside easily.

Round or stuffed

Having taken in a game in high town on Wednesday, I noted two things

1) Kristin Healy has returned to the St. Endas fold, a great boost for them going into championship if they need it, not sure about a man with 8 inter county appearances this year playing in a reserve shield competition, maybe there is no regulation that mitigates against it

2) The Arc on the high town pitch facing the whin bushes is more like 30m than 40 and I would suggest the small d is also not the correct distance, could this explain Endas high scoring in the league?

Hopefully most eyes get to take in both games, best of luck to all sides and hopefully the Mayo style of all out go for it becomes infectious.

1) was there a score difference of significant substance between home and away games

2) surly both teams would have benefited when St Enda's was at home if that was the case
