Only early May and Kerry minors already into the All Ireland quarter final. Jack O'Connor will be looking to end their long wait for All Ireland at this grade.

Was at the Cork and Waterford game and you would expect Kerry to progress as champions based on tonights performance from Cork. Connor Gleeson, the Waterford full forward, was the pick of the two teams, an outstanding footballer.

St. Augustines Dungarvan won a school All Ireland last year they beat Strokestown in final. They must be doing some decent work down there now while it seems Tipp have regressed.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Wouldn't say Tipp have regressed as such but that was a very young team and a relatively poor crop of 18 year olds. The hurlers were the same.

Wouldn't heap too much credit on Waterford either. They did well yesterday but bar Gleeson they lacked quality footballers. They were quite a big team and the backs defended well against some good Cork forwards but I thought they didn't look well coached players and most seemed unable to kick with their weaker leg. Could have been an off night for Cork but I thought they were average enough though they did look like they have the ability to perform better.
