They had their own thing going and got nothing more than anyone else.

So we aren't denying that a high profile Laois player was getting paid to play for a Dublin club.

He remains in Dublin and announces his IC retirement - still in Dublin and still getting paid.

Within two weeks he has returned to his club, bought a site and returns to play for Laois - this is the point at which you deny the Laois County Board came in with a higher offer than the Dublin club?

Just so we're clear..

Those rumours were proved to be false.

Where?

What do you mean where? They were proved false, all you need to know.

He chose what was best for him, as did the other lad. Laois county board had nothing to do with it.

Dublin clubs do what Dublin clubs do. He had an opportunity in Laois and he took it, nothing to do with the county board.
There's nothing in this story unlike the story about some Dublin players and the stuff they have for breakfast.  :o

The county boards offer. As Laoislad said above, why wouldn't he want to move home? It may surprise you but a lot of people in Dublin wish they were anywhere else. Dirt of the locals been the main reason.
He was given a chance to come home and he took it.

Explain further please. He left Laois to go get paid by a Dublin club. I've explicitly stated that the Laois county board outbid the Dublin club. What did this 'chance' involve?
