Handy win. Looking good going forward but still a bit dodgy at the back at times. Good squad starting to take shape.
Missed the last 20 though. How'd the new lads play?

Very dodgy at the back. After knocking it sideways there was a couple of near suicidal passes back to the keeper which were not punished. Also, the scoreline doesn't reflect the fact that Dundee United hit the woodwork 5 times.

The Desmond led board have done a fantastic job of lowering expectations. Couple of good signings to replace guys who left two years ago. At least four more required and the guys they brought in have at best 2 weeks and at worst 1 week to get bedded in for a Champions League qualifier. Absolute clown show. Dundee Utd hit the woodwork 4 times yesterday also.

Time will tell i.e. biggest game of season is mid-week in Champions League qualifier so we'll see what the story is over them two games.

A few players in but just replacements really and a lot have gone - weekly wage bill down a good bit I'd say. Big emphasis on quality over quantity so hopefully get through to the group stages.

Still need a keeper and at least two other players in defence. But I'm still of the opinion business should be done a lot earlier. No reason why not. Give new lads a bit of time to settle in.

The scoreline did reflect that...the scoreline only changes when it goes in the net.

Over in Glasgow for tonights game, really don't know what to expect from either team tonight. Celtic look a lot better going forward but still a bit light in defence. Two full back positions are a worry but if all fit it wouldn't be a worry. KT is playing well but will he last the full game? AJ is out injured again which is a big loss and his 2 deputies are just not at that level. Centre halves are ok and happy enough with that.
Midfield is a worry...Engels is a miss and people are moaning about Celtic letting Engels go before this tie but MON confirmed last night Engels didn't want to play in case he got injured. M Baur will have to be thrown is with McGregor and Nygren as I'm not sure i want to see Luke McCowan playing...Up front looks like taking care of itself.
No idea what to expect from LASK...MON reported they're a big strong physical team, they won the double last season and beat RB Salzburg, Rapid Vienna and Sturm Graz to the league so i'm guessing they're as strong as Celtic are...50/50 tie for me and I hope the MON effect gets us over the line.

Could easily be 2-0 down after only 3 mins. Was some strike that was offside by Lask.

Jesus it was some strike 😂

Quote from: JimStynes on August 12, 2026, 09:11:01 AMNygren is the biggest mystery. He's the best shit player Celtic have ever had. Does nothing and then comes up out of nowhere with a goal. His goal tally will be missed this season if he goes.

Hasn't touched leather and bang 😂
What a strike
