What is the best intercounty goal you've seen?

I'd have to go for 1. Joe Kavanagh's in the 1999 All Ireland final:

followed by 2. Eoin Bradley against Down in 2005:

and 3. Declan Meehan's in the 2000 All Ireland final for the great interplay and finish:

Really liked that Galway goal!

Cavan's Fintan Cahill AI Semi versus Kerry in '97, wonderful team move and a blistering finish on the run into the top right hand corner, as good as you'll see.

In the same season Raymond Gallagher scored a stunning goal for Fermanagh against Cavan in the first rd of ulster. Best goal i've seen in person. Mulligans wonder goal for Tyrone has to be one of the best in recent times.

Probably deserved a mention ...nice finish under a bit of pressure - scored by Dermot Early in '81:

A dramatic goal to defeat Corofin of Galway in the 2006 Connacht Senior Club Football (it was the last kick of the game by Karl Mannion)
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Was just scrolling through to see if anyone mentioned it. It was at the very end to draw the game too, myles, if I rememeber correctly - i.e going for a score, pressure on, etc. From what I remember it was a brilliant movement up the pitch, then stuck in the top corner from distance by raymie. I dont suppose anyone has a copy of it?
That was back when we had serious forwards, but no defence - if only the two had came along together  :'(.

mulligans goal v dublin was brilliant, but i think canavans in one of those AI finals was better: great fielding by mugsy, held the man off well, canavan had the run timed exactly, perfect lay off, sublime finish. A perfect example of skill and support.

Best goal I saw was Liam Haye's goal against us in I think the Lgue final of 1988 ( maybe the replay). A cracker in the top right hand corner.

From a Dublin perspective it has to be Mick Galvin's v Leitrim in 2004 (I think). Great passing movement.

Has to be between Karl Mannion and Mulligan for me. The rest mentioned are all cracking goals but there's something extraordinary about those two.

The Real Laoislad

Zach Touhy scored a goal for Laois v Derry in a minor semi final a few years back to level the game as time was just up..
Can't find it on youtube but it was a cracker of a goal

As a Mayoman it's not easy to point to a Galway goal but this was class.

But I would ask anyone, listen to the commentary. Did he even notice?

BTW Padraig Brogan's goal would be my top, even Canning seemed moved by it.
