WJ Dolan Intermediate Reserve Football Championship 2009
7th Aug

Greencastle St. Patrick's (2-12)
v
Killyman St. Mary's (2-13)

Bit of a shock result here?  Have to admire Killyman at championship level, in recent years they have won a D3 champ at senior, a D2 champ at senior (after finishing bottom of the league) and are now in a D2 rsserve champ final (there seniors are bottom of the league and are almost certs to go down to D3).  Wonder what players they had available to play in the reserve championship.  greencastle where flying high.

Not sure what players they had available but they finished the game with a 44 year old and a 46 year old playing

Maybe a bit of complacency on the part of An Caislean Glas?

Killyman will play Starbane in the final.
strabane are strong, players they have available is Warner Mullan, Martin McNulty, Brendan McLaughlin.  All quaility established senior ballers.  I wonder why these 3 players did not play in the senior championship?  they nearly beat Cookstown without them.

killyman are strabane's bogey team. anything can happen in sport and has happened - 44 & 46 year olds shouldnt be getting to championship finals but they have. incredible stuff.

Carrickmore away to Dromore today in the senior league (sans county players) should be interesting. Anyone from Dromore want to shed any light if there's been an appeal lodged against the result in the reserve championship the other night?

On what grounds would they be appealing?

credible stuff.

There's a few good young lads coming through that reserve team as well.  Only 2 seniors eligble for the reserve chsip - hopefully we can get a few wins to stay up so these lads can start their senior careers in D2

FT in Kildress today.
Really awful performance from the Moy who were completely overran by the tones.

Anyone know the score from the Dungannon-Tattyreagh match today? On the Tyrone website it says Dungannon won but in the updated league table it has given the points to Tattyreagh?

Clarkes 1-18 to 1-4.

edit: looking at the website, I'd say that the reason the Tatts got the points in the table on the website is that it looks like it has interpreted the score as 1 minus 18 with the 2 dashes in the 1--18 to Dungannon

Aaron Boone

Away wins 4 Clonoe/Carmen/Ardboe.

Norf Tyrone

Owen Roes beat Clogher by three today in a fairly subdued game.

Urney won in Rock this afternoon as well.
Owen Roe O'Neills GAC, Leckpatrick, Tyrone

All to do with the way the result is texted in by the referee by the looks of it
