The u-21 competition has run its course- not worth the expense to clubs- any u-21 who is any way decent will be playing reserve football at least-

Mark was probably unfortunately put in midfield for the Tyrone minors this year and whilst hes a big strapping lad hes a forward.  Hes an accomplished rugby player as well which has contributed to his strength and conditioning for his age, exceptional pace and accuracy and probably would benefit from specialist coaching as a forward as he has played everywhere from full back to full forward during his youth.

Serious questions have to be asked of the minor managers this year Mark playing MF and u saying he a forward, that Tierney fella that was CHF plays all his football as a CHB. I no someone else told me the FF, cant mind his name played as a MF, and Declan Connolly who was corner back plays half forward for his club.

The FF was Ronan O'Neill, and there's no doubt his best position is in the half forward line, whilst Sean Warnock, as proven over the course of the MacRory, is one of the best prospects we have in county as a FB and yet never played a minute at Full Back for the Minors over the past 2 years.

As for serious questions being asked of the management this year, a cynic might say that the talent contained in last years side masked the deficiencies in team selection but sure who cares when you're winning?

You're right - very cynical  in fact - too cynical.

Didnt expect this to become a management bashing issue, it has obviously set a few fireworks off.

rrhf, What's the status on McCaul - has he played any league football for Donaghmore yet or is he still a bit away?

Damian played full game for Eglish last week. He's back. He's a good footballer and a good lad as well.

Aaron Boone

That's a quick recovery 4 a cruciate. Did he have the best treatment, internationally if need be?
