Only one person politicizing this here and it’s not me.
And when you can find some statement of mine that makes any claims that people on the left are less prone to personal failings than those on the right, come back to me.
J70 - I never said you did.
To be fair though him being a democrat donor has made it pretty uncomfortable for the left to admit he's one of theirs. Not politically correct behaviour we've come to expect.
It even took Hillary 5 days to make a statement condemning him.
Look - the president, like Bill Clinton before him, have a penchant for the ladies. We knew that from the bush tapes. The record speed at which Donald gets hammered for any other little faux pas is breathtaking. Even mispronouncing a word goes viral in 5 minutes.
I do love the word "hypocrisy", especially when pious virtues of the left have been shoved down your throat by the likes of CNN. Choke on that Don Lemon.
Hypocrisy would be defending or condoning sexual harassment by Weinstein or Clinton while condemning Trump or someone else for the same.
And yes, groups as a whole are always quicker to pull the trigger on opponents while they’re more likely to give the benefit of the doubt or wait and see with their own side. Welcome to human nature. Especially when they're political donors! But I haven’t seen one person in this board prevaricate in their condemnation of Weinstein.
And sexual harassment and abuse has nothing to do with political correctness. It’s abhorrent behaviour, full stop, not some debatable choice of words.
Finally, I'm not uncomfortable with this scandal whatsoever. I'm glad he's been outed, and hopefully plenty more like him suffer the same fate.
