I read the Gerth piece you posted yesterday (woke early, so had an hour to spare). He certainly paints a damning picture to some extent, but f**k me does he go easy on Trump himself (nice revisionism with the Comey sacking, for example!) and downplays the very real and legitimate concerns there were about his rhetoric and conduct. Bit of a turnaround from his work on the Clintons back in the day.

Even if everything he alleges and the light he casts it in is true, it still doesn't hold even the tiniest candle to what Fox did in the aftermath of and since the last election.

What does any of that have to do with the skepticism about the laptop story at the time Giuliani was shopping it around when even Fox News and the WSJ, never mind the NY Times, refused to break it?
