Eze out for the weekend, and for a while by looks of things. Not Zaha but a start. Too bad big Bentekes finally remembered what his job is after @5yrs or so

How many games have Palace won lately? They are playing rubbish as were Burnley, Liverpool ones are slipping into the mindset of years ago! Fearing the worst.

Big Woy wants to go out on a high and that's ensuring Liverpool are top four, be a statue outside with him on it when he throws out a dud team ;)
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Problem for Liverpool is the inexperience of the central defense. Saha's pace on one hand, big physical forwards like Benteke and Ayew on the other. You know Palace are going to sit back and hit long balls into the channels and over the top to beat the press. Phillips and/or Williams go when they shouldn't, and Palace are in.

If they nick a goal, and word comes through that Leicester and Chelsea are winning, it could get a wee bit tense and nervy.

On the other hand, Liverpool could just as easily get a couple of early goals and stroll to the needed win.

But its far from a sure thing in the circumstances. Spurs' ineptitude last night doesn't exactly help either. But maybe that's better in terms of getting the attitude right ahead of the game.

Spot on J70.
Full of respect for what big Nat has done but 1st half last night he was meant to be a liability, whereas Rhys would be even less dependable. If benteke and zaha got enough ball they could wreak havoc but hopefully their supply is limited.

7 wins 2 draws in last 9 btw and even then the 2 draws were late equalizers so form has been good and theyre averaging 3 goals a game last 3 games so hopefully more of the same gets the job done

It's pretty much a sure thing against a Crystal Palace side that Liverpool already beat 7-0 this season. Hodgson couldn't even get a kick out of his side in his final home game before retirement against a mediocre Arsenal last night.

Liverpool more likely to finish 3rd instead of 5th now.

Absolutely it's far from a sure thing. It's going to be a nervous 90mins. Even at 2-0 last night Burnley had plenty of chances and can see Palace game going the same way.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Minus15

I reckon Fabinho will go back in beside Nat at weekend and Milner to start in midfield.

God14

Id be happy with that change minus

Rhys Williams makes razor ruddock look speedy. I'd be very wary of Crystal Palace threat on the break. Loads of pace. They will target Williams all day long.

laoislad

Alisson, Trent Phillips Williams Robertson, Fabinho Wijnaldum Thiago, Salah Firmino Mane
As most people would have expected Fabinho stays in the middle with Thiago and Philips and Williams stay as centre back pairing.
Henderson and Jota on the bench..

Nervous about today, could be a long afternoon. After already losing to the likes of Fulham, Burnley and Everton at Anfield we can't take anything for granted today.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

JoG2

Liverpool will win with some to spare. I definitely understand some nerves, but their recent record is very good, coupled with a good crowd in and CL as the reward. 5-1

laoislad

So far so good. Nervy start to the game and should really have been 1 down.
Have played well since and should have scored more than 1.
Scores going our way in the other two games but plenty could happen yet.
Think we will need another few.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

macker15

Third place done and dusted. Chelsea are losing 🍺🍺💪💪

laoislad

Job done. 3rd place it is.
Not bad for the worst Champions ever eh? Funny fact, Man City finished further behind us last season than we did behind them this season, but yeah worst Champions ever...
Only 5 points behind the team that won it in January also...
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.
