I think if there is money there Rodgers should chance a bid

Its so hard for liverpool to attract really top players, i just think it would be a shame to not try at elast now that mata is unsettled and needs to be playing first team football in a world cup year.

If they dont, suarez is gone in the summer and they are back to square one

Mata would be a great signing. Though youd never know how it would unfold with Jose at the helm, then again, its probably more down to the guy bank rolling Chelsea

It's an interesting idea, but what if they stump up €45 million - it'll have to be that much at least, it would involve a bidding war with Man U - and don't reach the Champions League? Ugh.

It's a good point. Whatever we'd pay for him though, I'd always feel a little wistful that Ozil went for similar money - not saying Ozil would have signed for us, just that the money would be in the same ball park.

Looks like Salah deal nearly complete.  Know nothing about him but surely wing backs and a defensive midfielder would be priority right now. Hopefully it's not the only signing.

To be honest I'd prefer him coming off the bench than Aspas.
