I hope Liverpool trash United on Thursday. Lousy effort from United and Solskjaer tonight. I thought they would split the first choice players between the 2 games and try to win them both.

Things you love to see... This.
Yip:  rioting,  wrecking, team selection integrity = best club in the world !! ;D ;D

Villa game? Stoning the City bus, throwing flares at the Real Bus? Rampaging through Europe? My god the title win has certainly lost memories

The Villa game didn't affect anyone other than Liverpool, and they were playing another game, 4000 miles away, the NEXT day in the club world cup.

Fair point on the fan behaviour, although United have plenty of form too rioting in Europe back in the day.

🗣
"It was the line up I expected. They play Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday. That's a crime. It's not the fault of Ole and his players. Would I have done the same? Yes."

One way to find out.

Trailer what are your thoughts on Steven Caulker?  ;)

After Chelsea losing last night, if Liverpool win their remaining four games, they're guaranteed top 4.

Just a shame there's three very awkward away games in there, and their form is rather poor. :)

United away
WBA away
Burnley away
Palace home

What if Chelsea win all their games?

What if Chelsea win all their games?

If Chelsea beat Leicester on Tuesday, that would mean the max Leicester can get to is 69 pts. Liverpool, presuming they won all 4 games would chin Leicester on goal difference then (barring a crazy score in Leicester v Spurs).

Chelsea can get to a max 70 pts with two wins v Leicester / Villa.

West Ham can get to 67 pts

Liverpool can get to a max 69 pts if they win all their games.

Chelsea have a superior goal difference at present but nothing that couldn't swing in the remaining games.

Actually yes, if Chelsea beat Leicester and everyone wins all their other games, Liverpool and Leicester would finish level on points and it would come down to goal difference.

If Leicester get a result of any kind against Chelsea, then Liverpool guaranteed fourth with four wins.

BUT.... Liverpool have to beat United tonight and Big Sam away at the weekend before any of this even begins to be relevant.

It's very optimistic to suggest Liverpool will win their last four games on current form. They have countless opportunities to capitalise on the teams around them tripping up but failed at most hurdles. Hope Imm wrong because a CL place at the end of this season would seem like a trophy.

Yep.

Prior to six months ago, spinning off four wins on the trot, even with United away, would have seemed very doable.

Now, I would give generous odds that they won't be able to do it. United could cut them to shreds on the break tonight, as Liverpool have to force the issue.

GetOverTheBar

1 win from the last 2, realistically will get Chelsea and Leicester home.
