Beat the best team in the league Manchester City in the last game scoring 4 goals, tonight beaten by the worst team in the league and failed to score. That type of inconsistency must drive Liverpool supporters mad.

As Laoislad says, it's how they respond. Most of the big teams have lost games like this this season. Get back to winning and scoring and it will be forgotten quickly enough.

Some performance by Swansea.

Big time, they were excellent

Their defending as a team was excellent other than that? scored from their only chance which Liverpool defended poorly on and only had 28% possession of the ball. Coutinho badly missed there tonight he could have prized open that well organized Swansea defence who will be brought in to replace him?

Never worry lads cuz 'you've got Salah do do do do do do' ;D

The rose tinted glasses.. Has the 'parking the bus' teams not been Liverpool achilles heel for quite some time now?

You are thinking of other seasons not this season. Tonight was Liverpool's first Premier League defeat since October, they were on a good winning run finding different ways to win which included wins against sides that parked the bus against them.

I'm sure Southampton could be persuaded to part with someone for another £50-60 million!   ;D

Had to happen. People will talk about Coutinho not being there to open up a packed defense but Mane, Salah and Firmino all had clear cut chances and should have put at least a couple away. Then a weak header from a corner and an opposition centre half turns into Robbie Fowler and scuffs a shot in off the post. FFS

Disappointing especially as United had a similar fixture (despite Burnley's good season) and managed to scrape a win despite playing poorly due to one good finish from Martial. Even the Firmino/LLana  miss to claim a point at the end could have repercussions at the end of the season given how tight the scrap for 2-4 is likely to be.

Jeepers Creepers

I think Coutinhos abilty to pull a goal out of absolutely nowhere will be mnissed more so than the ability to open up defences. All top 5 teams bar City at the top showing the same level of inconsistency.

Seamus Coleman.

Had no idea what you were on about here. Completely forgot he was loaned to Blackpool. Google is my friend.

Also think I badly misunderstood the initial question/proposition. Never mind!

Wasn't he bought from MK Dons and immediately loaned back to them for the rest of the season though? £5m was a steal when you look back at it.

To a much lesser extent this year than previous.
