McGuinness getting the sligo job i hear?

Wouldn't have minded seeing Jim get the Donegal job. Apparently he did a lot of visiting to other, more successful counties to get their views on how operations should be run, but his presentation received a rather rude, indifferent reception at the country board meeting. Will he be another McHugh who will, from now on, tell his county board where to go?

To emphasise the increasingly bitter nature of the affair, Mulgrew made clear his personal anger at Doherty's role in the sensational episode.

"To be classified as a former team-mate by that guy. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not a former team-mate (of his)."

Mulgrew also hit out at Doherty's criticism of former Donegal manager Brian McEniff, who walked out of the meeting as a result.

"This is a man who has been involved in Donegal football for 60 years."

And under Brian Mc Ivor and John Joe Doherty, he wasn't going to be able to have an input - so he walked out !

What is with the animosity towards McEniff that we see from many on this board?

I dont understand this. If Mc Eniff isnt manager why should he have any input ?

The Donegal county board are making a right hash of this whole affair. Its Good enough for them IMO in the way they shafted Mc Ivor. The night of the long knifes wouldnt be in it.

Bad enough shafting Mc Ivor but they've done the same with Doherty, Mulgrew and Bonnar as well.

I thought you said it was letterkenny and ballyshannon clubs that shafted McIvor?

Just back from a few days in Donegal. With sh*te weather there was nothing to do but talk (or listen) football and understand that the choice lies between retention of the drinking culture ar a major shake-up on that front.
Which is which? I think I know.
Fierce tame altogether

sure tell the rest of us

Don't want to be talking about anything unless Charlie, Declan, JJ and their lawyers - and Lord McEniff - are all present.

Was it not Gaoith Dobhair and St Eunan's? I don't remember Aodh Rua being mentioned at all.

There is plenty of opinion being voiced around Donegal as far as I know as to which managerial set-up would be stronger on this front.
