Remco joining Red Bull / Bora. They're like a team building something with Roglic & Lipowtiz already there.

Bronze for Healy in the Road Race behind Evenepoel and Pogacar. Terrific performance.

Heading to Majorca this week for a combo cycling/ trip with the Mrs holiday. Never been to Majorca, so looking forward to it. Can't exactly piss off for 6+ hours every day so Sa Calobra is the only iconic spin on the agenda.

Side note - bars in Alcudia / Playa de muro guaranteed to get watching Celtic??

Watched it myself. Pogacar is on a different level.

Nice on Benny...done the L'Etap yesterday in waterford/Tipp and KK. Was tough with plenty of climbs, the last climb with 90 miles in the legs was actually cruel/brutal.
Majorca is nice and you'll enjoy it. Don't forget to get the lighthouse in too, it's not too far (20 miles in total from Port de Pollenca) but lumpy enough. you'll enjoy that too. Sa Calobra was a tough climb but nice...Good luck.

Is taking your bike on the plane a similar price to golf clubs?

£50ish EW i think, I hire every time, sounds like a lot of hassle to me tbh.

I hired once in Morzine (50 Euro per day - 2016)and you don't get anything fancy and are expensive enough. I have a bike bag where you just remove your front wheel and bolt in into frame inside bike bag, you at least know your own bike and are comfortable on it but if I had to hire a bike out I would be ok with that too...no big deal tbh.

Yip, I think it was around £80-£100 return for bike bag (sports equipment they call it)

Mental amount of cycling in that Alcudia/Playa de Muro area. Mosquitoes an annoying general issue. Great trip

Any of you lads tried MyWhoosh app for indoor training?  I'm assuming it's not as good as Zwift?  The free version is grand for me, just wondered if if Zwift was worth paying for?!

bennydorano

Couldn't get that mywhoosh going on my appletv set up, nor on tablets, got it going on my phone eventually, did a couple of spins on it during the poorer summer days, but I couldn't be arsed with the phone thing so I'm back on Zwift. Zwift is hard to beat for keeping the interest up / interaction. I found trainer road hard work in all senses. Mywhoosh was dead on for a free app

Switched to Rouvy as Zwift was getting expensive for 2 accounts. Workouts arent as good as zwift but visuals are less cartoon like. Not that its getting much use at the moment.

I hear Swift are taking Garmin to court over rights to maps etc, surely this could backfire on them. Majority of people use a Garmin and what are they going to choose...keep paying subscription to Strava and dump their Garmin or keep their Garmin and pick up another replacement like Rouvy etc etc...be interesting to see the outcome of this

Pffffft. Pogacar starting to slip. Only the 37km solo attack today to win the Lombardia.

That said, he did beat Remco by a couple of minutes and won it for the fifth consecutive time...

Remco either couldn't or refused to follow. The new Poulidor
