ONeill

I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Would you keep trossard or Martinelli?

I like super leandro - pulled us out of a few tight spots last year.

Signed a new deal to bump up his pay, no change in length of contract. Still 2 years left to run (2027)

Eze and Martinelli will be our Left Wing options and Trossard/Gyokeres will be our strikers. Havertz has injured his knee again so will be out for a long time why Eze has been signed so quickly.

Goals shouldn't be an issue with The Gunners this year.

One of the most potent super subs in European football, having to start centre forward in the home leg against PSG last year screwed Arsenal, the root cause of which was Partay getting a needless yellow card in the second leg against Madrid when home and hosed, Rudiger done him up a kipper, Villa and Arsenal both had their chance to beat PSG, razor fine margins in the end

ONeill

Thoughts on tomorrow?

Can't recall the last time Arsenal won at Anfield.

Losing Saka is usually a game-changer, but hopefully the new signing will offset that.

Arteta was playing last time Arsenal won at Anfield.

Think we have enough to get a result, but important that we win the midfield battle.

I'd probably start Martinell LW and Eze in the Odegaard role. Think if the wingers stay high and wide could exploit the Liverpool defence - Bar VVD the other 3 have been shaky so far this season so pace of Martinelli and Madueke will be key

Still a wee bit handbrakey at Anfield.

Disappointing team selection, felt like game was there for the taking if we had played a more attacking player in midfield.

Martinelli was pure dung again, hopefully get a bit from Saudi for him

He has built a fantastic squad, they have a great defensive unit, some really nice forwards, but his overcautiousness will probably cost him his job. And probably this season because he has been backed to the hilt and needs to deliver a major trophy.

To win the league you need to win regularly against the front runners. But if you constantly go into big games setup happy for a draw, never expect anything better than a draw. And there can always be a freak moment leave you worse off.

Win the return game at the Emirates and it a 36 game season between the 2

OT and Anfield in the opening 3 games, could do a lot worse than 3 points

If he maintains his current standard there's no chance he's getting sacked

Not sold on Madueke

Look-Up!

At some stage time runs out for everyone. He has been getting a bit of jip from some quarters as a trophy dodger last few years. That may be unfair as it ignores the fantastic build he has done but he has been backed massively with funds and at some stage that has to deliver on field.

Depending on the nature of this years failures, if he does indeed fail, his job will be under pressure.
Glorious failure in a CL final cheated by a referee is a bit different to a limp exit at QF stage. Same as coming 2nd in PL with 90+ points is a bit different to coming 2nd with a watery enough mid 70 points tally, 10 points off the winners. He needs a big season basically.
