Disappointing but much more positive than the last few matches. A lot of men put in incredible performances today and didn't give up. Maybe I had my Derry glasses on but a couple of Galway's goals came from sidelines which should have been ours?

Galway's Daly took at least 10 steps before scoring his point at the end. I thought refs were clamping down on this.

Thought that myself at the game but was in the seated stand so was hard to tell. RTE called one of them 'controversial' so must have been something in it.

Shane Walsh took 6+ steps for his goal...

Galway lad with as clear as you'll see head charge on Shane McGuigan near the end and the ref gives a free out and books McGuigan...farcical decision

Ref was farcical the whole game. He was outrageously bad.

Lads, there not point showing alot of fight when u should be putting the game to bed at 8pts up. We retreated and didn't push on. Tally in my opinion made a mess of the goalkeeping situation from early in the league, Who are the top keepers in county outside Lynch? McKinless is way to rash, thst last goal he should been nowhere near coming out to contest it.

Ryan O

Thought our keeper really struggled TBH, 3  goals in 2 matches conceded with high balls dropping in around small square. Keeper must be taking these.
We lost our shape when Ethan went off for Blood sub really struggled to carry ball up the pitch, didn't get it back until he returned.

Niall Loughlin I thought was superb but perhaps left on slightly too long, Murray should have been on earlier. CD, Paul, Ethan, Paudi are back to the players we know they are. feels like a defeat but I thought attitude, decision making all was first class along with a wee bit of added championship bite.

In fairness to the keeper he came in and took the position when it seems no one else wanted to. Kickouts much better today but he did seem to be trying to force things which led to bad decisions to leave his goals particularly on the 4th goal.
Biased but I thought ref wasn't great to us.

After a game like that everyone walking out of celtic park talking about how bad the officials were says it all really.

Galway seemed to get all the 50/50s. The sideline that Galway scored their 3rd goal from was 100% a Derry ball. It happened straight in front of us. Officials may have cost Derry the game today but a brilliant and much improved performance. Onwards and upwards

Ref wasn't great, no of overcarrys leading to 2 of the goals, but the other two goals totally Derry fault. That sideline  u on about, could swore Glass touched it.

Tough one day and plenty of positives to take out of it but not wining the game was very simple. We starting losing too many of our own kickouts in the second half and Galway got quick scores of the back of those. No real variety in our kickouts either. We were the better team for long spells of the game but once again conceding far too many goals. You can't concede 4 goals in a game and expect to win. Been a Derry trait since the Donegal game last year.

In saying that when we had the ball we ran it well and had we managed a few more into Murray I feel there was a goal there to be had. Roll on 2 weeks time.

Big game from McFaul today. Every time he got ball, he purposefully went forward at pace instead of side to side.
