Amorim seems to have no interest in Mainoo. United might be as well taking their profit now.

The rinsing that they'll take Onana and Hojlund is going to be huge.

Chelsea are going to pay 4m quid just to send Sancho back to UTD. I don't think there's a Prem team who would touch Sancho. Maybe Sunderland if UTD pay 90% of his wages.

How do Man Utd end up owning so many players that are lazy and happy to collect a big wage for doing nothing?

Ill-disciplined children need  a strong figure  to  make them toe the line .

Very few players  acted the dick with Fergie , or else they were out the door, so Maybe  since then, the  managers weren't  strong enough characters to deal with them.

Also , you might ask how many of these big  buys, did managers actually want? Maybe shirt sales were more  important than onfield  performances?

As has been pointed out time and again on this site, shirt sales have negligible benefit to clubs. They get their money from their licensing desk with the kit manufacturer and then a small royalty. Even if this wasn't the case, who on earth would or could argue that clubs sign the likes of Sancho, Antony or Hojlund to shift jerseys ffs.

They don't do nothing. They perform the job as per their contract that the club willingly signed. Would love a few United lads to do a Bogarde on them. The sheer arrogance of Amorim telling lads to find a new club ffs.

Not so sure I'd believe all what tabloid journalists say in the media.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Can't blame Amorim if he did tell Garnacho that, think Amorim should have played him him that final but you can't be coming out with that shit in the media. Hopefully they can sort it out as I do think he has promise.

That's rubbish, these guys were all top-level pros before United signed them. Plenty like Lukaku, McTominay, Depay and Anthony have went on to stellar performances immediately after leaving UTD. It's the club and managers that are the shitshow, not the players.

It's a culture that will prove very difficult to change unless they're prepared to spend a few years fixing it by changing their overall wages model.

United are one of the few clubs in the world that carries a full squad of players earning £100k+ a week, which must cause them problems in multiple ways.

The key one being that if a player isn't the right fit, almost nobody in Europe can afford to take him onto their wage bill, and definitely not when paying a substantial transfer fee on top. So he just hangs around, drawing millions from the club, and not having to actually earn a penny of it.

Another issue is that when a player  turns a corner and puts in a run of good performances, the club then increasing their wages to reflect his increased value, only exacerbates the main issue, when that form inevitably drops. This is also usually the point when United fans clamour "pay him whatever he wants", especially in the last two years of a contract.

I'd also expect there's an issue with hierarchy. Football team wages should be structured like big businesses. By paying serious wages only to the top tier, it incentivises the next tier(s) by giving them something to aim for. By tying the lower tier final pay packets - in the form of bonuses - to  overall performance, it helps drive standards from the bottom up.

Fundamentally United need to stop giving £5m+ a year to people who underperform.

Look-Up!

Stellar performances  in weaker leagues , perhaps?  The last two anyway

(Although I was  disappointed McTominay left as he  at least worked  hard)

I've yet to see  any positives in signings like De Ligt, Yoro, Onana , Zirkzee, Sancho.  They might well leave  and go on to stellar performances  too. In  a  weaker league. Maybe that's  where they belong?

gallsman

Yoro had played about a game and a half and someone was on here banging on about how he'd look like he'd work out or similar.

Yoro looks a good player and plenty of potential any time I've seen him. De Ligt decent if he can stay fit. The last 3 aren't good enough. Well Zirkzee did show some improvement before he got injured.

The De Ligt signing was a bizarre signing to me.  He showed promise at Ajax, then didn't make the grade in Germany or Italy.

United already had a over priced centre half with a lack of pace in Maguire who was decent in the air. The money should have been invested in someone who could score goals.

Tory Jim lowballed Everton over Branthwaite, said he wasn't going to be held to ransom.

Everton weren't that desperate to take the low bid even with PSR issues so Tory Jim moved onto De Ligt, a cheaper option and now he's finding out why.

Bayern don't sell their good players.
