Very similar to the ulster game ie it was all but over after 20 mins. A bit of pride in the second half but a missed opportunity. Bordeaux are good but pretty flaky at the same time. If they got off to a good start it could have been different result

Bad loss for Connacht last night having had a good start and a man advantage for 70 odd minutes. They were 14-3 up. Penalty try and red card to go to 21-3. Lost the remainder of the game 40-19.

Controversial All Black Rieko Ioane will play for Leinster next season, following on his New Zealand team-mate Jordie Barrett's footsteps by taking a sabbatical in Ireland.

While Barrett had a deep connection with the province after spending a few years in Meath as a child, Ioane has a more complicated relationship with Ireland after his run-in with Leinster legend Johnny Sexton in the moments after New Zealand knocked Ireland out of the World Cup in 2023.

Deep pockets with no salary cap is quite the thing.

The D4 crowd may not like him after what he did to Sir Johnno the Ledge...

Leinster in a serious game against Northampton. 12 down at half time, 5 down now.

The whole "let's not start Jordie Barrett" tactic is a bit mental.

They threw that away ridiculous to concede 5 tries!

Pollock is a serious operator I'd expect him to be a bolter for the Lions.

Ref was determined not to penalise Northampton towards the end but Leinster completely fucked that. Can have no complaints. What a waste of Jordie Barrett.

They made a total balls of it. Hubris writ large.

Fogarty

The IRFU policy is putting everything in to Leinster and letting the other provinces fail is not working.

Furlong managed 60 minutes too. Starting Healy and Henshaw was crazy.

You would have to wonder if they do see Cullen as the problem. It is hard to figure out why they keep failing so narrowly.

The buck always stops with management rightly or wrongly. They have no salary cap to manage, have resources to hoover up Snyman, Barrett, Ioane but for about the 5th year in a row they have come up short.
