u20s 15-0 down against Italy. Italy points scored when *they* had a man in the bin.

A bit worrying the u20s have been good for a few years now and yet not many players breaking into the first team. This year they have been shit :( so even less likely for any of those lads to make the jump

Again v poor from Ireland on the try line. Same thing time after time, with an identical outcome.

You were waiting to put another tick in your "Held Up" log, weren't you?  ;D

That passage of play was poor. It was clear Italy were muscling up in defence so why not go wide?! Better before half-time.

JPGJOHNNYG

The held up nonsense is ridiculous you think they would have learnt after the QF debacle. Will probably end up with 4 wins but pretty much every match has been poor even the demolition of Scotland was littered with poor play. Farrell can't come back quick enough

Estimator

Should the time not have been reset to the time of the knock-on, after that try was disallowed

Which team are down a man ffs. So poor

Sportacus

The attitude went all wrong on 65 minutes.  All smiles and tributes to the retirees. Awful from a professional team.

JPGJOHNNYG

Pretty shambolic. Easterby can gladly clear off to Wales now, offered nothing, serious downward trend since he took over. Some terrible ref decisions though costing Ireland a couple of tries. What's the point of a TMO if not to check Lowe actually stayed in play ffs

They had England well beat but give up 2 tries at the end to give England a bonus point. Comes bck to bite u.Terrible performance today. About 5 new men needed nxt yr. No.10, Tight head, and centres a bit worry going forward in the nxt 2 yrs.

Didn't get a bonus point against Wales either.

Third is about right even though England were jammy as feck against Scotland and France

https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2025/0313/1501977-irelands-tryline-woes-part-of-a-frustrating-trend/With 13 tries from 39 entries to the opposition 22, Ireland's 33% return for tries in that zone is the second lowest in the competition, with only this Saturday's opponents Italy (27%), scoring fewer tries per 22 entry.

Similarly, they rank second highest for turnovers conceded per 22 entry, losing the ball on 43% of the times they have got into that area, with only Scotland (52%) conceding more.

I'm sure those stats are skewed by multiple entries into 22 (without return) in 20 mins of the France game.

They did the same in the first half against England. A lot of pressure  but no try. Lost count how many times they got held up in the championship (at least 6!!). A few yrs ago they were very clinical and took a high percentage of their chances in the 22. This year they have been very blunt, defences have their number
