The requirements were not mentioned much then and a great day out was had by the children of Antrim watching their heroes on their own turf.

On those days there were feck all people coming from Cork or Kilkenny. This is not true of Armagh. Even if this was shoehorned into Casement there would be few children from Antrim watching, there would be Armagh season ticket holders, player's families, a few big shots from the sponsors and that's it, no ordinary punter from Antrim would get in.

That's something the Ulster Council should clarify!
That's just, like your opinion man.

Because the Leinster Council and the CCCC respectively who run those competitions say it is.

Yet another reason to add to the list as to why the provincial councils should be done away with.

Casement won't be in the running.

And what's this ordinary punter bull$hit?

If it is Corrigan there will be plenty of Antrim supporters there.

It will be small print time for the season ticket holders.

And they can fight that out with Ulster.

There is no small print in the season ticket that would allow that would allow GAA to just favour members of the public who couldn't arsed buying a season ticket.

What elitist bulls1t this is...many many reasons folk cannot buy a season ticket. Wonder what the percentage increase was in Armagh from last year to this year...Armagh not arsed last year too?

Quote from: Orior on March 07, 2025, 10:41:49 AMAs someone else said earlier, if Antrim want to grow the game in their county then they need as many youngsters as possible in the ground to see their team playing against the All-Ireland champions.

The current publicity is great but it won't steer young lads away from the soccer ball.

Not sure the crowds of buckfast gulpers would seal the deal either

You forgot to add apple munchers.

Young lads watching someone eating a healthy nutrition apple is one thing, seeing someone boke over their own feet and it splashing on their neighbours is slightly different

Well if you do not buy a season ticket, then you have to hope the tickets go on public sale. If the game is in Pairc Esler they will, if it is shoehorned into Corrigan then they will not.

I'm always happy to receive correct information. How many from KK or WD were in Corrigan?

I'm sure 90% of Armagh season ticket holders wouldn't be that bothered if they miss what will realistically be a low intensity walk in the park for Armagh, no disrespect to Antrim.

Hope they stand their ground and Ulster GAA go f**k themselves.

Quote from: Rossfan on March 07, 2025, 12:40:22 PMThe 15,000 Armagh supporters might have helped them in their decision.

Yes absolutely they have such a great and passionate support, one which I can only envy.

With this logic maybe all games where it's an elite team playing a so called lesser county, home advantage should be sacrificed purely based on supporter size.

Mayo would never play Leitrim in Carrick on Shannon,
Cork/Kerry should never play Clare in Cusack Park Ennis,
The Dubs should never have to travel to Longford or Wicklow. All these counties could easily fill these stadiums twice over.

I don't think that season ticket holders in any county would be happy if the GAA can arbitrarily set up games to exclude them.

The logic is that a neutral venue should have been indicated for this tie from day 1, no question of home venue.
