Must say I really do enjoy Brolly and Fanning's podcast. Some great guests and interesting topics.

He hasn't missed on calling out Biden and the rest of the 'west' on genocide in Gaza... does the research too

I listen to the podcast on occasion also and the politics content is excellent. Really good listen.
The GAA content on the other hand is just ideological waffle. It's just Brolly with his made up stories (usually designed to make him look like the hero) and Dion unable to challenge anything as he's clueless.

I get the concept of the podcast, but Brolly is overly patronising in trying to explain 'the north'.

The podcast with Aaron Edwards would have been far better off with Dion trying to ask the questions from a 'free state' perspective but instead we have wee Joe unnecessarily inserting himself into the discussion to talk about everything he's done, everything his family has done, and his perspective - we already know all of that stuff.

Ruined something that could and should have been exceptional.

Although Fanning's father Aengus played for Kerry, his sons are unfortunately clueless about GAA. They grew up in a D4 bubble and soccer and rugby are their sports.

For claiming to be an avowed pacifist, Joe has a peculiar fascination with acts of violence. He fantasises about punching certain people in the face, talks glowingly about events where other people punched/slapped such and such a di*khead in the face. So and so should have slapped Trump around the room. Even a fascination with extremly bloody boxing bouts where boxers fought each other to a standstill, suffered permanent life affecting injuries, even death.

For all Joe's issues, and he has many, that was never one of them.

Weird take from Joe Brolly here.

Some of the best sporting drama I've witnessed.

You'd find if McIlRoy was a hard-line Republican Brolly would have a totally opposite view of the situation.

Tbf I'm sure you could easily find 100 lads on here that also think golf is shite which is pretty much his take.

That is true but at least show some sort of delight for the man.

I'm not his biggest fan either but was delighted for him to pull it off and I haven't watched much golf over the years

One of his many silly arguments in this podcast was why should it matter to anyone McIlroy or any golfer winning a tournament

Then went on to pontificate about Marvin Hagler fights 50 years ago and the LA Lakers.
Should those matter to anyone?

Wildweasel74

f**k that,i loved watching Hagler.I do have little interest in Golf.Didnt watch the other nite at all.

My wife has little interest in sport other than big ticket items like Wimbledon or the Olympics, but she was enthralled by the golf on Sunday.

Brolly is becoming increasingly irrelevant so he says thran stuff for attention. "There's a black crow, Joe". "Naw hi, that's definitely a white dove".
