Between him and Tomas ose for the best half backs I've seen in my time.
Philip Jordan for me with O'Se.

We can all have our favourite players and rose tinted glasses.

But as good a player as Philip Jordan was, the gap between Jordan and James McCarthy is roughly the same as that between Jordan and the average county standard wing back.

Love Jordan but mccarthy is a better player. Mccarthy and mccaffrey the otherside was something else. Mccarthy in full flow looked a different level at times

Indeed.

Would be on my all time 15.

A genuine great.

Don't agree with that at all, Jordan 03-09 was a phenomenal footballer, would be in the conversation

McCarthy better in my opinion but not by a big margin. Jordan definitely up there as one of the stand out half backs of the last 25 years.

as much as I am not a fan of his I would have to agree. Maybe a separate conversation though as I can think of a few who would be in the conversation

James McCarthy and Lee Keegan for me. Aaron Kernan worth a mention, rarely had a poor game.

I'd have Keegan in any all time team myself. Absolute colossus.

The other wing is a tight call

3 ballers.

McCarthy and McCaffrey at their best were some wing back pairing.

Wildweasel74

Keegan, Moynihan. McCarthy be my all time half back line.

For me Kernan and McConville were as influential club footballers as there ever was but at county level they weren't quite the best of the best despite being superb...

yeah Keegan, McCarthy and AN other for best HB line definitely this century anyway.
