One up on Sinn Fein? More like, they been caught out very badly, and thought riding roughshod over everybody make it go away. As bad as Givan meeting the LCC the other week and trying to make light of it.

Well if you believe that, then your colours are nailed pretty well to the mast. Fair play.

The problem for me is though that Givan did not get nearly enough flak for that. That, for me, was a resignation job. Now the SF one may or may not be but there has to be fair application of standards and when you see complete double standards in scrutiny from McBride, RDE etc then it's hard to listen to it.

+1

Givan meeting active Terrorist groups to stop an education project.

I also wonder what would happen if what happened with Jeffrey Donaldson happened within SF and what would the media scrutiny / outrage be.

(N.B. I am not a particular fan of SF but the absolute double standards in the media is horrendous and makes stuff like this hard to take as seriously as it should be. Anything I read they are not covering themselves in glory but I do wonder would certain other parties get the same scrutiny.)

There's no doubting SF have handled this very badly and need taken to task on it, but don't think for one minute Sam McBride, RDE and the southern media who have jumped all over this don't care one jot for the victims in all of this, it's purely political point scoring.

How senior was this McMonagle lad? By the talk it's as if MON would have knew him personally, is she still denying that?

The DUP are strangely quiet but the TUV without a shred of self awareness of Davy Tweed press on with a vote of no confidence!

Mary-Lou on the radio now, MON definitely knew McMonagle as he worked with her for 3 months.
She apparently did not notice him when he turned up at the event with his SF pass after he was supposed to have been discontinued.
I'd say that Mary-Lou is a bit p***d off with the northern branch.

You wouldn't expect her to be over every jot and tittle, would you?

Nope, but had the other side did (do lol) then they'd be saying they must have seen this or that.

Politics is a game, some times you're winning, then others times not so much, who actually, really deep down gives a flying f**k?
