They have no influence or power and the place is still run by the faceless men and women as before. They may have nice titles and big offices but it means nothing. They can do nothing unless their masters allow them to. For weeks they have have been promising Casement, City deals, road builds etc, etc.
Should they go back to shooting the Brits instead?

Wouldn't matter who was voted in as ultimately the Brits control the purse strings. They don't want to spend any money in the place after years of them destroying and ignoring it. The only way any real change will happen in this place is under a united Ireland. Labour proving to give as many fucks about the North as the Tories whose grand sum was zero. Sick sore and tired on the Unionist bull shite that we have to put up with.

Can't remember where I seen it but someone said where else would you get an MP actively objecting against funding for their area which is what the DUP were doing via that **** Wilson. But sure as long as long as themuns didn't get their stadium that's the main thing.

I knew rightly there be no Euro money for Casement.  A fewweeks after Labour came into power, the treasurey were complaining that The Tories had emptied the pot when in power. They had cleaned it out.

Then think back about The Tories main thrust in the election campaign earlier this year.  It was one slogan. Labour will put up taxes etc.

We can see that happening now with the 'stalled' City Deals and no plan even for Casement.

It's a pity we don't know someone with £12b in an account somwhere.

If nothing else, at least we have another bogeyman to direct the blame at.
Brit bastids didn't drag us out of our self-dug hole.

During the troubles a lot of their comrades paid the ultimate price for what they believed was a legitimate cause.  Regardless of any our opinions on the legitimacy of this cause this sacrifice has to be respected.  You can not help but think there are family members of such comrades throughout the north wondering what was it all for, their loved ones did not die so the next generation could line their pockets as puppets of the British Government.

Self-dug hole?

It is easy to forget that the original, preferred option almost 20 years ago was not the redevelopment of Casement Park.

No, they should get a move on and get a United Ireland Do you think that SF will be proposing that the Apple money be used to create a unification fund? They will in their hole.

Don't worry. Colum and Claire will sort it all out from the green, green benches of Westminster.

Yes, a self-dug hole. We were handed a winning lottery ticket of public funding, more than enough to provide us with a 1st class stadium but we made a colossal balls of our project.

But, it's everybody else's fault.

This is not the last word. The GAA and the Government will come up with something.
