If they were playing Nigeria they probably would boo them... though why people get so worked up bout a load millionaires playing football is very strange. Bread & circuses...

weareros

Some of the olé olé Irish boo brigade not the brightest sparks. They once continuously booed a Danish player because they mistook him for a Rangers player.

And proceeded to cheer every time he got the ball when they found out it was mistaken identity.

GAA fans would never do the same to some one like Aidan O'Shea. They are so above that!

gallsman

Don't think Aidan O'Shea's identity has ever been mistaken for anyone else when he's playing for Mayo (and presumably any other time) to be honest. That shambling, lumbering style of his is unmistakeable.

It's up to Heimir Hallgrimsson to decide that.

I don't know what he's like at club level but for Ireland he's abysmal- appears to put in little to no effort any time I see him. Coleman needed cover that side with Gordon's pace but he was getting none from Doherty. When they went off England's threat there diminished greatly.

Big difference in quality between teams. You would just want to not see things like players running into each other when you have a chance and then allowing the opposition to counter and score...

I thought the England team was probably better balanced than their euros team.

Kelleher was a solid 8. Was our best player.
SHOCKING REVELATIONS!!!

Don't see what the problem is with grealish and rice, both our English, clearly going to pick England when they have a choice.

Someone upthread said that the team only has one Premier division player. Sammy Sz  plays for Ipswich and Collins plays for Brentford.

BTW I was impressed by the gaffer. He knows what the team needs.

Kellerer- Liverpool

Dara O'Shea- Ipswich

That being said no stand out prem players since Coleman has declined

Irish times

"In my opinion, having this short time with the team, I think that is something we will develop slowly. It's not something you can force. This will develop slowly, and [] on the ball you can have the relaxed player, playing maybe the risky passes, without losing it. eventually
"But I think at the moment, other things are more important than spending a lot of time in [the] build-up. For me, it's about scoring a goal. If the build-up helps you do that, then of course we will focus on that."
