The Trap

Brolly seems to be really losing it recently. I do listen to the podcast and just wish Dion Fanning could be stronger and ask him some straight questions.
Right Mickey is gone and Gallagher is the favourite, do you want him?
Do "our boys" need a man of true Derryness to be the manager and anyone else will be vilified as much as Harte?
Surely it wouldn't have been anyone outside the counties ambition growing up to be manager of Derry. And all county set ups cost a fortune and most people get paid.

Then on to East Derry. He wasn't calling this before the election, nobody was.

Cara hunter needs to own SDLP posters being on 11th night bonfires apparently too. This is what happens he says.

Apart from that making absolutely no sense...

I can't find where he said about SDLP posters on bonfires but i'll take your word for it.
I'm no huge fan of SF but he is absolutely correct. The SDLP handed the seat to an absolute bigot in Campbell who hates all things Irish. It was some opportunity to get rid of that poison.
Far from me to defend the SDLP but there were 0 calls for anyone to stand aside in East Derry pre election. Hindsight is great.

Not really seeing the logic behind his tweet earlier about Cara Hunter running in East Derry after she tweeted criticising an effigy of Colum Eastwood on a bonfire. Unfortunately I'm not as intelligent as Joe to understand the link.

The Trap

Did you know in the early 2000s Joe's father stood for that seat and got 6000 seats.....the sdlp got 8000 and flegory got 12000?
Im sure Joe knows this.
On twitter some are calling him the republican Jamie Bryson.....now that's as big of an insult as a man can get!

Fair enough. It was some opportunity lost all the same.
Yeah for sure. But then if you add in the UUP and TUV votes they outnumbered the green vote so nothing stopping them agreeing to step aside. As we know nothing unites them huers like their hatred of taigs.

Aontu got over 1000 in that area.

If the sdlp did what brolly said and got Campbell in then surely they be less susceptible to being on bonfires? It doesn't matter the whys and wherefores it makes absolutely no sense. If they'd have stood aside they'd have been on the bonfire too.

Irrespective of the topic it's just irrational nonsense.

Norm-Peterson

I see Brolly said on twitter that his grandmother was from Donegal. I assume that is on his fathers side. Given that his mother's side are from the Coalisland region that means he actually doesn't have much Co.Derry ancestry. All this talk about Derryness from a man with 25% ancestry from the county.

Rossfan

He's taking part in a discussion in Boyle tonight (Arts week) about gaelic games in the future or something like that.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

I wouldn't believe a word of what the man says anymore. He could literally come out with anything!
He takes us all as fools.

There is no such as county purity. Many people are county "mongrels"  so to speak. Love is not defined by county.

All 16 of my Great Great Grand Parents were born in Mayo. So there's little or no Mongels blood, but probably plenty of inbreeding.
