I'm sure plenty of people outside of Ireland said the same about Stephen Kenny when he took over as Manager.
You could never give a rookie like John O'Shea the job.

Hallgrímsson was also joint manager of his Iceland with Lars Lagerbäck when they reached Euro 2016, beating England in the round of 16 to reach the quarter finals.

I'm sure plenty of people outside of Ireland said the same about Stephen Kenny when he took over as Manager.
You could never give a rookie like John O'Shea the job.

Being involved with Iceland and Jamaica, he'll be used to working with players with limited ability.

I suppose when you've been playing like use the only way is up.

Seeing as watching COYBIG these days is about as pleasant as an extraction, a part-time Icelandic dentist would seem to be a good choice. If he was their first choice since the start of this year, why did it take so long to appoint him? Was he booked out until now?

Just reading there he was Jamaica manager in the Copa America until last week. Beaten by Venezuela, Ecuador and Mexico in the group stages.

You never know it could be a masterstroke of an appointment. He doesn't have much to work with so at least expectations are low.

Think I will reserve judgement on this one and trust they know what they're doing.  Never heard of him.
