Omagh. I know the Gortin glens are an option but not even sure where to go for the trails? Complete novice.

Best bet is to download Strava app. It will have segments within the glens, give uba rough idea. Just go out and cycle it, u won't be long discovering the trails. Strava definitely a grt tool for discovering new routes etc

Have strava downloaded, but don't really use it that much as use garmin instead. Do you need to have the paid for Strava to get the best use?

No free version is ok. Nobody really uses Strava to record there activity. The Garmin will sync with the Strava app after your ride nd you will be fit look through activity and the segments within the ride you just done. Just connect the two apps first. Best watch a YouTube vid on it. Be careful on the downhill trails thou, you come off and you will be sore so take it easy at the start. Enjoy

Davagh Forest (between Kildress/Ballinascreen) has mountain bike tracks.  Nit sure how good they are.

Gortin Glen is another spot.

Delgany 2nds

Davagh is first class, 4 or 5 trails.
Excellent facilities. I think it has been used for national competitions.
The landscape & scenery is amazing

I've never been to Gortin but looks like a good place to get started. Some info on this site.

Ive done Davagh a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Some parts maybe difficult for beginners but i think there are nearly always ride arounds at these points.
Get the bike to Gortin and get started.

They're all doping surely. I'm not surprised because those hills are brutal. Superhuman! Cavandish went through hell to get to the time limit.

It's an incredible recovery from his accident ok. Looked almost effortless to go with Pog. Tough days ahead so will see.
I think it's always going to be this way with cycling now. Always the thought at the back of your head ' if it's too good to be true....'

Can he get another stage win do you think?

I don't think he will, his ego obviously thinks otherwise though.
