Quote from: Truthsayer on June 19, 2024, 12:11:57 PMThe denial system from Derry supporters is incredible. Gallagher put that together including back to back Ulster titles and Harte has dismantled it. No-one cares bout the league as long as you don't get relegated. For God's sake Mayo won it last year... who knew!
The championship campaign has been a laughing stock...

u ok hon?
Yeah... you?

In a few points, what has Harte done to dismantle it?

Have you not watched the last four games? Sent them out with the bizarre tactics against Donegal that saw them overturned time and again and a keeper hung out to dry scampering to get back to goal... and then persevering with it including the Westmeath game where the All Ireland contenders scrapped past a Div 2 or 3 team or whatever they are. Definition of insanity is repeating the same behaviour and expecting different result...

Haven't missed a game all year. Same tactics that won 2 Ulsters and a Div 1. Work rate not there to play a highline and on the front foot (Harte's team mentioned in the same breadth as Dublin a matter of weeks ago).
Westmeath, the line wasn't near as high for most of the game and Lynch didn't compete for a single kickout, and had cover straight in when linking up.

The fact you have 50 Derry posts to every post re your own county speaks volumes

Good stuff keep doing what you're doing! Dublin a very different animal in the championship.. comparisons to the Dubs was a bit fanciful. This isn't a Derry thread is dedicated to a Derry podcaster (is that a word?) who comments a lot on a Tyrone manager who crossed the wall...

I fear for Tyrone if the Dubs are a different animal in the championship because they beat them by 20 points in the league

Tyrone are a team in transition with a load of players gone since the All Ireland win three years ago and, not sure the number, but a lot making their championship debut this year. The expectations are realistic... meanwhile Derry dust off the shelf for Sam after winning the league 😁

You'd have to chalk that done to poor management

What was that famous line from years ago? You can't win anything with kids?

Them Tyrone hoors are coming in under the radar and would definitely fancy themselves against us in Croker if they get there and know they owe Kerry a performance from last year.

The story on todays podcast about him asking Gerry Adams onto the podcast at the weekend there sounded like he was making it up as he went along

I thought it was very believable.
Remarkable that's all you took from the podcast. I found it very depressingly accurate bout the state of politics and how FG and FF are giving a tacit nod to right wing thugs while the Gardai take no action against them. I saw the footage of the attack they referred to.. it was horrific.
I suppose when you go to Brolly podcast looking for something to berate him about, you'll find it, no matter how innocuous.
