Who said this a matter of weeks ago re Derry under Harte's tutelage

"A massive step for Derry in the crusade for Sam. McEvoy came of age, Murray too. The team knows now they are good enough.
Training from this on in will be electrifying. Each man motivated to get better, to lock in on the biggest prize."

Tactics, training, motivation all good enough....

I'm totally fed up of this narcissist, nasty nasty man

Quote from: Truthsayer on June 18, 2024, 11:21:59 PMJust listened to that podcast. Is getting repetitive alright. He hasn't liked Harte long before he went to Derry and use of C word is not acceptable. Says a lot of truth bout the mess he's made of Derry but we've heard it before. Also is not wrong that many in Tyrone are disgusted with what Hartes done (a lot of folk in Derry not too happy with it either).
That's hardly headline news though lol.

Haven't bothered listening to the podcast and doubt I will tbh.

At the end of the day we're all Irishmen watching/playing/coaching/discussing our national game. I don't think calling Harte a c u next tuesday is acceptable at all and I doubt Harte has done anything so terrible as to justify a personal attack like that.
Yeah I did say calling him the 'c' word is unacceptable. You can add Louth as well to list with people disgusted with Harte.
Strange no-one seems too bothered he was very derogatory about Dick Clerkin in the last two podcasts as well.. : )

Listening to the recent podcast he wound his neck in a fair bit regarding Dick Clerkin and then linked this into Brian Mullins pinning him against a wall one day in Dublin.........supposedly.

In relation to Joe's abhorrence for a Tyrone person managing the Derry team does he not know who stepped in last year to take over from RG.

Joe also had a swipe at mercenary managers just doing it for the £, a couple of his mates from the 93 squad would be in this category, one in particular has managed a serious amount of teams across Derry, Down and Tyrone.  A lot of clubs did not get much return in their investment.

He has expressed distain towards Harte for a long time and been consistent in calling out these mercenary managers. Now that both have collided in Derry is his worst nightmare.. added to the total mess Harte has made of a Derry team not so long ago being tipped to win the All Ireland. The whole idea of Harte with Derry was crazy. Be like Heffernan with Meath, Cody with Tipp..

I'm not aware of what he said about Dick Clerkin, but its no harm to take him down a peg or two.

I'd lost a lot of respect for Brolly in recent years but would still have more respect for him than Clerkin.

Anyone getting hot under the collar that a man is managing a specific football team needs to cop on, and thats before reflecting on the incredible force for good Mickey has been in his life, the indelible mark he has left in his community not only at local and regional level but nationally. If the terrace and pub loud mouths and keyboard warriors had half the drive i'm sure they'd have better things to do, alas they don't, and talk is cheap

People are now over-exposed to Brolly and his lies. His politics commentary is excellent as it's not all about him. When he speaks GAA he is now coming across as a bitter old fool resorting to making up stories to massage his own ego. A nasty mouth-piece that the entire GAA world now laughs at and pities.

Ps: He couldn't lace Mickey Hartes boots.  Fact.

So Brolly hadn't made an indelible mark on community and nationally with his transplant campaign?
Harte & Derry has been a disaster ... end of.

Yes Joe's transplant campaign was a remarkable success and achievement, don't recall any claim to the contrary, does that give him the right to platform the abuse of Mickey Harte?

Derrys first senior national title in more than 15 years, absolute disaster by anyones standards 👀

Or the standards of armchair experts?
Same pups will be back lampooning Ten Hag in a few weeks

Anyone anywhere abusing Mickey Harte for managing Derry needs to give their head a wobble

naka

Was thinking  re Mickey Harte the abuse he is getting
Derry won a national division 1 league this year .
4years ago Derry were in division 4
Like Armagh fans re geezer ( of which I am one ).
Some sense of entitlement to lambast a manager .

It's dripping out of some folk in the county. We're even at a stage now we've Tyrone clowns on here more interested and nervous about Derry results than their own.. Mind boggling!

Truthsayer

The denial system from Derry supporters is incredible. Gallagher put that together including back to back Ulster titles and Harte has dismantled it. No-one cares bout the league as long as you don't get relegated. For God's sake Mayo won it last year... who knew!
The championship campaign has been a laughing stock...

SouthOfThe Bann

Has there ever been a team in the history of the GAA influenced so much by the manager as that Derry team and Rory Gallagher, with the Exception of Jim McGuinnesses Donegal.

Every movement on the field that that Derry team made was micro managed from RG. They knew the system inside out and had ultimate belief in it.

Derry job was always going to be a very tough one. Harte done well to win a league with them.

Same with whoever takes over from Jim McGuinness, its not going to be a simple task.

u ok hon?

Main Street

But Rory Gallagher is not a Derry man. The Derry GAA is not in his dna
