Quote from: BrendanAntrim on May 22, 2024, 11:07:34 PMSligo match fixed for Breffini Park, disappointing tbh. And it's a 4pm throw in on the Sunday. 90 mins from Sligo, 2 hours on some bad roads from Belfast, obvs more from south west. Thats an unfair venue I think

Appeal it.. we all love a good appeal 😉

Just looking at the draws on the website. It notes -

3rd placed team in each group is safe from Relegation
4th placed team in each group play off (2 Semi Finals & Final)
(Losing Finalist is relegated to Division 2 and Intermediate Championship for 2025)

Is the 2 losers of the play off semi final relegated as well, so 3 relegated after senior champ?

Probably not a lot more they could have done than 1.5 hours from one county and 2 hours from the other. Seems fair enough to me.

Milltown Row2

was in Cavan on Tuesday, its a fair aul hike all the same!
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Omagh or Brewster wouldve been a lot better

Omagh is under 1,5hours for both

Our game v Sligo is on GAAGO

Spike

You would think Omagh but Breffni a smaller pitch which may suit Antrim more

DIV 1 bottom team in league and relegation 'final' losers relegated via championship. Two relegated only.

Div2 League Winners and IFC winners promoted.

Same process for relegation / promotion from Div2* /3,
* Div 2 relegation is straight playoff from two x fifth placed teams

So why would you want to win the relegation semi final?

To play in a relegation final that if you lose you get relegated?

I can't tell if you're being serious or on the wind up. In case it's the former, then please be advised that winning your relegation semi-final ensures you are safe and do not play in a relegation final. The loser however does go forward to the relegation final, where they must win to survive. Simple enough concept really  ::)

What happens where the same team wins Div 2 / Intermediate or the same team ends up relegated through both league and championship...

Round or stuffed

the winner of the relegation final is also relegated, so barring a major upturn in form for Ardoyne, the 5th place team in group 2 gets automatically relegated
