Their famously small budget coming home to roost. Have been living on a shoestring etc.  ;)
read somewhere that united took out loans before signing their new players this transfer window. adding to the debt when im sure even business loan interests are at an all time high is criminal from the background team
There was an article a few months ago that their net is the worst of any team over the last decade- something like 1.3 billion spend with about 300 million recouped.

united have always famously overspent and undersold players even under fergie. its nothing new. only thing is the transfer market values are so high that it exaggerates how bad united are a buying/selling. we have no doubt though glazers take out loans to buy players then will take the money from sold players into their dividends annually. its a business and they are good at it

this was from the article i saw
"Since the 30 June year end Manchester United borrowed £50m on 3 July, £50m on 3 August and £60m on 10 October. This takes total gross debt to £773 million". Mount signed on 6th July and Rasmus joined on 6th August. £60m in october probably helps keep the club wage bill ticking over

From the Bunker

Nobody expected anything other than a City win today.

City are a Machine built on breaking the rules (off the pitch).

City have over a hundred fair pay allegations against them. They will never be charged because they are big time offenders.

It's like a petty time criminal will get jail, but a Blue-Collar criminal will at most lose a bit of his bonus at Christmas.

I think the  Ten Hag era   Will really start to peter out Now.

Who's next up for  the poisoned chalice?

From the Bunker

United need to sign about 6 players. There are a players there who need to be sold on not because of their talent, but because of their attitude, their character, their leadership.

Tony Baloney

If you are a club where Bruno is leadership material then you're fucked.

There won't be a queue for the job ....... That's not to say someone decent won't take the job for the right money. The Manager is not what need replacing. He is just a scapegoat for most other employees at the club from the Owners to the Board to Richard Arnold to the Scouts to the players.

Hard to know what is more laughable some of the decisions made by ETH or Neville thinking that Jim coming in and getting a better stadium will fix things on the pitch. United where well in the game at half time and then decide to take off Amrabat who was putting in a shift and replace him with Mount who has did absolutely nothing since he joined the club. ETH says that they needed to attack surely they should have came out with same tactics and stayed in game for a bit longer.United won the game last season with goals in 78 and 82 minute the game didn't need chased at 46 minutes. The behaviour and petulance of those two spoilt brats Bruno and Antony in the second half was embarrassing.

Does that make you sleep better? because it makes zero difference to United's predicament, spent a ridiculous amount of money on rubbish.

I doubt a Liverpool supporter as is From the Bunker will be losing any sleep about Manchester United's predicament.

Haven't watched much of them this season or watch that match yesterday but how did they get to a stage of fielding a back four of Dalot (a sub at best) Maguire (who they tried to sell) Evans (back at the club aged 35) and Lindelof (a sub at best playing left back) Haaland and co had to be rubbing their hands in gee before kick off.

Ralph was right. Ronaldo was right as well with what he was saying. Club is a mess.

Selling Dan James and signing Antony is was an 80 million odd downgrade. Antony never will be a Utd player.

There seems to be no thought on player recruitment just signing guys for the sake of it. Club is run by imbeciles.
EtH will be under pressure. He can't sign players like Antony, Onana or Casemiro and expect not be called out on it.
