I honestly don't. think United are that further on  than last season.  Still  some  mediocre performances,  and it was the same today until the game  turned  on the handball  incident

You seriously don't think United are that further on?

Last season in the league 58 points and 6th  (currently 50 points 3rd and 12 games to play)

Knocked out of the domestic cups in Old Trafford in the early rounds by a Championship side Middlesbrough and West Ham. (currently have one cup won and into the semi final in the other)

Last year knocked out of Europe by the 3rd best team in the La Liga. This year knocked the best team in La Liga out of Europe.


Had United lost to Fulham it would have been the first Old Trafford defeat since September.  Good/solid performances aren't to be expected when hit with injuries,suspensions and having come through a hectic fixture schedule. After this International break they could potentially have 19 games in 60 days, that's one game every 3 days for 2 months.  Whatever success comes from that will depend on luck with injuries and suspensions as the likes of Maguire,McTominay can't be relied on.

Fully deserved win for Newcastle, well up for the game full of running and energy, that win should allow them to kick on and finish in the top 4 now.

A damaging defeat for Man United as could be out of the top 4 tomorrow night. Probably the worst 90 minute performance all season as at least against Liverpool they were decent 1st half. Newcastle if clinical could easily have won that match 7-0.  So many of those United players are running on empty at this stage and will be lucky to finish the season in the top 4.

United have  not moved on at all  since last year.  The same  players are still there. It  was only rashfords goals  that have masked  a lot of  the same problems.

The spine  of the team  is still very  weak, and  still no big characters  there to drag  a game  by the throat

But late on, 2–0 down and the goose cooked, he gets the ball in his own half and isn't happy with the positioning of young Pellistri. He's hugging the touch line, but Bruno made a gesture that he should have made a run inside. Fine. But then, with the ball long gone,  Bruno makes the gesture again. And again. And then a 4th time. So it's not enough to tell the young lad that he wasn't happy with his movement, he had to make sure that everyone in the stadium knew, and everyone watching on telly knew. Fuckwit.
