Anybody interested in a semi final against your city rivals??

Not much interest in any of the tonight's matches it seems

United 1-0 ahead at half time. Still have a slim hope in this tie. Weathered the small storm thanks to a few classic DeGea saves. City were poor on the set piece that led to the goal but a fine strike by Matic

Do away goals count?

No if it's a draw after this it just goes to penalties.

If you are to go out at the semi final stage I suppose beating Man City in the Etihad Stadium and keeping a clean sheet is one way to do it.

The Matic sending off 2nd half sent City on their way to Wembley and the winning goal in the tie turned out to be a Pereira OG.

If Rashford, McTominay, Pogba, Bruno was available you could agurably say Solskjaer would have won his first trophy as manager for United.

Playing a reserve team at City was poor form  ;)
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

And if your Auntie had balls etc etc...
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

United rode their luck early on although don't think City created too many clear cut chances. United back 4 tried to bring the ball out of defence, De Gea has improved in this aspect but he's got to to another level when playing City. Matic had a ropey first 10 minutes but was excellent after that, he's had a decent last month and if he keeps its up he'll be here next season. Williams again very composed on the ball whilst Shaw just continues to disappoint. Lingard was just appalling, received the ball in good positions several times and just lost it; Hopefully along with Pereira he's moved on in the summer.

Poor enough performance by us overall with Utd looking more 'up for it'.
Never nice to lose to them but a Cup Final v Villa is one we should be winning handy enough.

Lingaard is some waste of space and Martial just seems to play now and then when the notion takes him.

Any team playing Utd must be delighted to see their names on the teamsheet.

why o why did Fred take the last free kick when Mata was on the field .
the excuse by Ole defied belief

Complaining that Matic sending-off cost Utd a chance in the final was barmy. City had something like 70%(?) possession, passed MU off the field and had 2 marginal enough offside goals. United could hardly string 4 passes together without giving it away. Hopefully Fernandes, like those other 2 trumpeted signings Lindelof and Shaw, will be the reincarnation of Iniesta and propel MU to a top-4 place.

Look-Up!

What do people think Lingard is worth on the transfer market?
What about Martial?
