Great stuff. Hopefully another couple of quality signings to come yet.

Hopefully Maguire arriving means that's the end of that Smalling clown at United.

I think maguire is in much the same mould as Jones, smalling, bailly and rojo

Either you rate Jones (A liability) Smalling (back up sub defender) higher than most or you haven't watched much of Maguire in action. Bailly had potential to be a decent signing but is far too injury prone to rely on.

I'm still torn as to whether the Theme From Harry's Game or the Men Behind Maguire should be his signature chant... :D

That is 5 million more than Liverpool paid for the real deal. He is a poor mans Virgil Van Dijk.

Same fee United sold Ronaldo to Madrid for.. Ronaldo was worth.. Maguire' well isn't worth that fee.. But that's where it is.

Definite upgrade on what they have but wouldn't say he is in the upper echelons on CB's of world football. Maybe moving to Utd will see him do that.

As for value for money, no transfer between English teams is going to get that. With the tv money available to all, they don't have to sale unless they get stupid money

Ole's clearly bought the one,
Better than those useless cùnts,
The man we have to get behind,
His name's Harry Maguire.

Seems Dybala just didn't want to come to United. Pity as he's a good player.

Hopefully at least one more signing before the deadline. And if Lukaku goes I'd hope it's two.

Bit of talk circulating about United being in for Christian Eriksen.

Bleak season coming up.  No new midfielders when we in reality were poor there last year and have lost players from that area.  Not enough goals scored yet no forwards added, shocking that we were linked with Mandzukic.  Should have bought Aldeweireld too.  Eriksen is available but that wont happen either.

Think Maguire is a good bit of business, price extortionate but the money floating around at the moment is dictating transfers.  Think everyone agrees this was their weakest area so good to get someone in that has potential.

Don't compare a transfer 10 years ago to now, there is only 1 other player in football at the moment who is worth more than Ronaldo, but again the money going for players is ridiculous.

Read Dybala was asking for crazy wages to join and United are best staying away from that type of player to be honest as if he really wanted to play for United he would have met them in the middle.

Not sure how the forward line is going to fair as it is but can't see who they are going to get in at the moment?

I'm hopefully a more assured looking backline will allow united to force more attacking play this year overall.  The general consensus was there lack of control at the back hindered the team as a whole last season.

Optimistic for them this year.  Honestly their aim should be top 4 minimum.
