Must say that was thoroughly enjoyable last night. Pogba's couple of shots that went into orbit particular highlights.

Had a United eejit tell me last night Ander Herrera is the best player in the Premier League and De Gea the best player in the world . . . Thoroughly enjoyable!!

You could make an argument that de Gea is the most important player in the premiership.  What i mean is that for example if you take de bruyne out of the city team clearly thet are not as good but they are still the best team by a distance.  Take de Gea out of the United team and they are scrapping for fourth at best, especially given the negative way Mourinho plays football. I can't think of another individual player that is as important to their team.

As for Herrera....

He's the best keeper in the league possibly the world but youre overstating his influence, if any of the other top keepers were at United I'd say we still be 2nd. Lukaku for all the flak he's had has rescued more points this season than De Gea..

And if so that would say how high Man City has raised the bar to be fair. For example Man United in 2007/8 (their last great team) had 45 points after 19 games just 3 more points than the current points total United have.

Saw something last week that United points total would only be good enough to top the league at same stage in 5 of the last 15 seasons, and in 5 of them no better than third

Exactly , it's all relative to the season that's in it. The fact that Utd are languishing badly against their city rivals, given a similar starting position and budgets from both managers is not lost on all fans.

Exactly , it's all relative to the season that's in it. The fact that Utd are languishing badly against their city rivals, given a similar starting position and budgets from both managers is not lost on all fans.

Pep had a much much better starting squad, has spent more money, has a bigger budget, is a better manager other than that ur pretty much right.

I'm not playing the poor mouth I'm just pointing out that the original point is wrong they didn't have the same starting point,it's hardly in doubt that City's starting squad under Pep was better? And they don't have the same budget Pep has spent £100m more.

As for the last decade, City have spent £450m more than Utd on transfers...

You might have a point about them buying better but they do hold most of the aces!

Jose has an idiot doing his transfer business. Only 7 players brought in the last two seasons and Manchester United in rebuilding mode needed more signings than that, neighbours Manchester City in comparison brought in 13 players to already strong squad. 90 Million for Lukaku and 89 million for Pogba was way over the odds for both and Matic at age 29 for 40 million too much also.
