Carlow have literally brought a lot of colour to the Championship this year and have made the last sixteen for the first time ever.
Sure they beat London and Leitrim to get there but they also hammered Wexford and gave Dublin a fright  - made a better fist of it than Westmeath.
Monaghan should easily account for them in Dr Cullen Park on Saturday.
Good draw for Monaghan in getting Wexford and then Carlow.

Armagh have to sh*te or get off the pot v Tipp. Great draw for McGeeney to throw off the numpty manager tag but it will take a lot of div 3 players to step up from the typical dross showing the Orchard county has served up in recent years.

Should both Monaghan and Armagh win this Saturday and Down lose on Sunday, then it's obviously unavoidable that there will be a repeat pairing from the Ulster Championship. In that scenario would Down be guaranteed a home game in round 4, or does round 4 have to be in a neutral venue?

Those two games are in Croke Park on Saturday July 29th.

For us to be in the last 14 is amazing, Monaghan was the nightmare draw really. Against Armagh, we would have fancied our chances. Even Tipp, might have been 20/80!

We beat Wexford, London & Leitrim to get this far....did annoy Dublin for 48 mins. Up to that stage when Brendan Murphy got sent off, it was Dublin 0-9 -Carlow 0-6. If Diarmuid Connolly had been sent off just before that as he should at the time for push on linesman who knows how close it might have ended up. We saw what they did to Westmeath after. We did very well in comparison!
It's been a great run for us, 5 championship games/3 wins for the 1st time in 73 years, should be a great occasion on Sat evening. Even last Saturday after beating Leitrim, there was a big Carlow support there and loads of kids after the game asking the Carlow players for selfies & to sign shirts, programs etc. Seeing them on Sky and then winning games in front of them, makes them celebs to the kids. Hopefully we can put on a respectable display on Sat night, would be horrible for this run to end with a hammering.

That's a strong team and seriously good bench too. That is what I fear most for us on Saturday. We might set up fairly defensive and keep it reasonably close for 45/50 mins. Then that bench Monaghan have will come on and run riot in last 20 mins. It will end up being a bad loss, something like 2-19 to 0-7 after being 0-9 to 0-5 at ht.

If Tyrone and Dublin win then Monaghan will have to play Kildare in R4 qualifier (as Monaghan can't play Down again)

If Monaghan beat Kildare it's then 50/50 whether they play Tyrone or Dublin in AIQF
