I'd be happier with Carrick starting, particularly with the back 4 (minus Valencia who is sound). Cmon United. Finish the set.

Why us De  Gea not starting? Would you not want your best goalie starting the biggest game of the year?

Two top goalkeepers in fairness and DeGea didn't start any of the knock out Europa games and it wouldn't be right to drop Romero now.

That's what the Tipp crowd were saying about Cork last Sunday
Lee Harvey Oswald , your country needs you

Captain Obvious

Ajax with loads of possession but unable to break down a well organised Manchester United team so far. Lucky break on the goal however Ajax have only themselves to blame with the poor play from their own throw in.

Interesting that both goals scored in what is Uniteds most important game of the season were both Mourinho signings.

GJL

That defender Sanchez is having some game. He is keeping the score respectable.

Captain Obvious

Manchester Uniteds most comfortable final win since the 2004 FA cup final? Jose Mourinho not finished yet and still doing as he has done with every club he managed, winning trophies!

Helix

Job done. Hopefully Griezmann's 6/10 leaving athletico a bit more likely.  :)
It's hardly possible to build anything if frustration, bitterness and a mood of helplessness prevail

Main Street

It was a commanding performance by Man U, controlled the game all through and a very comfortable win, in what was predicted to be a much tighter affair, well, tighter than it turned out to be.

Is that Rooney off now? Not much use him hanging around if he's not going to get games.

GJL

In fairness Jose got it bang on tonight. Controlled the game from start to finish. This season has got to be considered a success.

Would put  you off watching football that.

Well done United. A bad season in many ways still ending up with 2 trophies and CL qualification. I'd take a few of those bad seasons.
