21 goals in 16 home games. 9 draws at home this season. Sitting 5th in the league and unlikely now to make the top 4. People can cod themselves all they like about United playing better stuff but realistically only for Ibrahimovic the season would be a disaster. 90 odd million on a guy who thinks he's mucking around in a playground....I was losing the head looking at him hitting stupid balls, giving it away in the latter stages. You can't let people off the hook like that. Jose never criticises him though. Utter bullshit.

Anyway - it's all the players fault though according to Jose. They're not scoring enough goals. I think he needs to look at what he's doing and also his relationship with officials. i've never seen a season with United getting so many bad big decisions and I don't think it's a coincidence. Another attack on Shaw after the game tonight, it's absolutely needless. Kicked him badly a few days ago and the lad comes on and does ok and then crucifies him again. That's the action of a sc**bag, pure and simple. He started bleating about fixtures back in January despite having the most expensive squad ever assembled. He then got rid of two players and another one since. I don't buy this tiredness malarkey - the guy who up to recently (maybe still) who has played the most games is the player of the season.

I thought up until a few weeks ago that Jose was on track but it looks again like he's lost. There's going to be carnage in the summer. Long way to go to win that Europa League....I wouldn't be confident at present.

He dug Shaw out again and tbf I thought he was very poor when he came on, not once did he go past the opposing full back, turned inside every time and laid off an easy ball. I think his reaction to Young coming off tells you all you need to know about his attitude to Shaw, JM threw his arm around Young and walked him off right in Shaw's face. Safe to assume he will be shifted if there isnt a big change in attitude on both sides.

Valencia was definitely missed but it showed the lack of impact from Rashford and Linegard in the wider areas that the FB was so badly missed.

I think a summer clear out is inevitable, it reminded me of a lot of the game under LVG when possession wasnt a problem but hurting opposing teams where it counts was. JM is smart enough to realise the problem with the team and I think he will turn it around.

If he ships out talent like Rashford and Martial instead of developing them to reach their undoubted potential he deserves to be sacked.

Rashford is no danger, I think Martial is slightly more vunerable. He is probably looking at selling his potential and using the cash to bring in someone who has a proven record, which is more his MO when team building. So it will be a balancing act of which is going to deliver success quicker for him Id say.

Serious ££ spent on Martial?

Surely selling = massive loss?

JM wont be caring about the ££, he will be doing whatever he needs to do to (in his mind) make the team/ squad stronger. Rashford has the home grown aspect going and probably more talent so he will be safe, but Martial probably is an easier target.

I for one wouldnt be getting rid of him but I think they will be looking up to two experienced strikers. So would leave the squad probably unbalanced.

The chosen/special/dickhéad one has a history of only ever playing one striker i.e. Drogba at Chelsea where he'd a beast of a player so don't be going and expecting him to spunk big cash on another striker (that's if Ibra stays) and then playing two up front. That's not José's way.

If they can't beat an injury ravaged Everton then top 4 isn't going to happen!

That's definitely true.  Everywhere Jose has been he has had one of the largest cheque books and that matters over a league season. Strength in depth and all that.  Yes he won champions leagues against richer clubs but that was through a ultra defensive mentality that works in knock out games but over a season tends to result in lost points unless you have really top notch attacking options who are likely to get a goal Drogba& Lampard, Eto&schneider, Ronaldo et Al.

At United this season Ibrahimovic is the only consistent attacking threat

These things tend to even themselves out over the course of the season.

A vert poor 1st half and Jose deserves to be criticised for starting with that team. A midfield 3 of Carrick, Fellaini & Herrera doesn't work whilst Lingard always play better when he plays more central. I thought BT were a joke last night, you'd think Everton carved us open time and time again. I can only remember De Gea making one save and that was fairly routine. Everton had a few breaks but they never created anything from them. We hit the bar twice, Zlatan missed 2 great chances, Fellaini & Rojo missed good chances whilst Zlatan had a perfectly good goal disallowed. I've got no issues with United going more direct when chasing a game especially when you've got Zlatan & Fellaini but the way we played in the first half is simply not good enough.

As for Shaw I'd imagine he's tried everything else with him and it hasn't worked.

I thought Bailly played very well last night, his best game since before xmas.

All about picking his best team in Europe now.

Maroon Manc

As for officials it was another poor night for them. Barry, Gueye & Robles all should have received 2nd yellows in the last 15 minutes. Gueye in particular was a ridiculous decision not to even give Pogba a free kick.

Decent set of results for United last night although not expecting us to take advantage.

United slipped from 5th to 6th after Arsenals win. Not that decent.  The Europa the best chance of Cl football it looks.

Id say out of Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton Liverpool and United who ever can put even a half decent run of results together will claim the last place. Looking difficult for United with the run in they have and the games against the top six in around the Europa games.

Arsenal seem to have steadied slightly. I would not want to be relying on winning the Europa at the moment as a way of qualifying for the CL, but somehow I suspect that is what it is going to have to be.

Citeh aren't safely secure in the top 4 yet either. It's amazing after all the bad results that United are still not out of contention.

Armamike

They've as good a chance as Arsenal and Liverpool. 4th spot is up for grabs.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Mourinho has a worse record than his two predecessors and is not under the kosh! Why?

Too many draws and too much arrogance from the man has me hoping he fails, he is a miserable looking bastard. an ingrate getting paid millions and he is failing miserably despite the money spent.

I want Bendan Rodgers as United manager, it would severely piss of the dipper fans and United would be back to playing an exciting brand of football, they would even win something worthwhile again.
