THIS IS BASICALLY THE SAME EFFORT THAT APPROXIMATELY 20 COUNTIES GIVE TO THEIR OWN COUNTY HURLING FINALS...

if the game is fixed for casement then that should be good for derry...its a good venue an having just played there then its all ++ points..
memories of the 93 USFC semi when Brolly an McCormick came on to turn the game in Derrys favour will spring to mind....

never mind the jersies...
did anyone notice when watching the game on tv an they were complimenting the great crowd that turned out for the game...the camera panned across a section of supporters an as clear as day some young lad takes out a 1/2 bottle of vodka from his pocket an starts slugging away at straight...not even a redbull in sight... ;D ;D ;D
camera quickly switched away an the commentators just ignored what they saw..... :D

where else would you get it.. ;D

i know lavey are still in the league but i have no idea what the craic is with fixtures whatsoever...we loughguile earlier on in the yr in a good entertaining game but have basically nothing since...we were down to play the johnnies on sat but it was called off...maybe it was because of the USHC semi..i am not sure...but definitely lavey are a club who enjoy the UHL as they are usually competitive entertaining games with no history of grudges..except of course if we end up playing dunloy ;D :D...just joking...

cathal mckeever is probably another who could push for the hurling team...possibly as a half back mid-fielder releasing convery to the chf position...

agree that lynch would be a good addition...so also would kevin mccloy...but being realistic that is not going to happen...
i could nearly gurantee that most of those starting forwards will not be starring for their respective clubs in the club ch'ship's...
there is definitely the basis of a good squad here an the ulster final is well within grasp...

as i said last week...derry's defence an midfield will be competitive but our forwards are poor...very poor...there is no one there that you could say will gurantee you 3-4 scores or the odd goal...they also do not have a great ball winning ability..need to keep the ball in the forwards so as to relieve the defence from constant pressure...a simple tactic of stop giving away frees will seriously limit our scoring potential...or even worse...if convery has an off day..
more scoring forwards in derry available...why are they not on ?? ??? ???

not exactly impressed with this team...ok..defence & midfield is good enough but the forwards are very poor with no score takers or makers amongst them...Down will hardly be shaking in their boots at that forward line.. ???
