Quote from: bannside on November 12, 2025, 11:54:02 AMHe will be familiar with Cathal Murray then (new St Brigids manager) who had a fair bit of success with Ardee.

Cant see Dunloy letting OBrien go anywhere, but it will definitely take dollars to keep him.

Takes big money for S&C coaches these days 😛

Quote from: bannside on October 08, 2025, 12:02:06 PMRumours Decky Smyth and Sammy were touch and go on Sunday evening. Those are two smashing players and provide a lot of ball winning and energy that has got Dunloy to the final. Dunloy will need them both in top form for this one.

Hard to know when a team is peaking physically and mentally. Neither club pushed themselves too far in the league, so physically both still have plenty of gas. Id say without doubt Dunloy would be in far better shape mentally had they beaten Loughgiel. A team on a proper run could take some stopping. Question is, what will the defeat take out of them mentally. Will there now be a fear of losing both?

Its an intriguing final, both clubs there on merit. Can Cargin continue to do what they do, close out games no matter, or will Dunloy hunger and excellent football set up drive them over the line.

Expect the biggest crowd at a final for quite some time.

Be a huge crowd as both teams well supported I would say two best supported teams in the county.

Will Dunloy be too much for Cargin now the double dream is gone and they have only the big ball to contend with it could be the case

PG1 got their 5th place finish in league secured and a 4th place finish in championship not a great year for the challengers and John Mac and his wealthy backroom team have stepped away today.

Quote from: Take the Mark on September 17, 2025, 12:02:09 PMLast 4 of the SFC are from the south west, obviously the semi finals will be held in the locality with Dunsilly being a sure bet for one of them at least. But the final, should it be the same? Or is it all hands up to the city again? 1 final appearance from city teams in 8 years now...

Last time Cargin and Creggan played they had it in St Endas so you never know.

Last time we played it was in Dunsilly on a Saturday night went to extra time

Quote from: Sportacus on September 12, 2025, 11:13:04 PMWhoever plays Cargin in the semifinal is in with a sniff now, that was far too easy and has done them no favours.

Yeah Cargin would need to watch themselves next time out no doubt their management will have plans for whoever they get ,Aghahallon really poor this evening a team who just seemed to want the year over
St brigids to account for the hurlers tomorrow comfortably too
Creggan to cruise by 10 plus and I'm seeing a shock result in some quarters as I fancy st galls v the ports

Quote from: Duine Inteacht Eile on August 18, 2025, 08:07:41 PMSt John's man sent off - Totally deserved. Excellent decision.

Cargin man sent off - Outrageous decision. Possibly sinister.

And so it begins. Relentless.

Difference being it wasn't even a Cargin red card offence and the St John's men around us said the same ,st John's had man red carded for a second yellow as he was running around saying break them C***ts legs that right there is the difference mate

If the red card for CJ was done against portglenone Creggan or the dolly mixtures I'd have been saying it was a ridiculous call also.
