Fair play to Monaghan, never gave up and made it a game.

Armagh should have won that in normal time comfortably.

Armagh have earned an Ulster and should do it.

From recent memory, Rian O'Neil came straight into the starting team when he was first drafted onto the panel.  There are players that would be known around Armagh as good prospects, but have limited roles their first year or two with Armagh.  Tomas Galvin this year being a notable case.  Gave up soccer to play for Armagh.  Think he got a few minutes against Down and thats been it.  Same for the younger O'Neil.  Good talent, limited time.

This method has worked out alright for the like of McMullen and McQuillan, who are excelling at present and have not been rushed into the starting team despite their quality.

I want to see what Tomas Galvin is capable of - is he a bit like Conaty?

On the game itself, Monaghan always seems to have our number. A battle ahead.

Provincials are dead. Time to be innovative and have a new structure.

Quote from: trileacman on May 04, 2026, 10:38:55 PMIs it not a bit strange for him to be living in Sheffield in 6 years and not have a word of English?

Spending all of his time playing snooker

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on May 04, 2026, 12:59:23 AMDown geared up 6+months for that game. Zero time to adapt and go again a week later.

Down should not be taking 6 months to prepare for a single game, they should be preparing for a season within that time.

Quote from: tyroneman on May 03, 2026, 07:20:56 PMDid I miss a memo where fisted points are now somehow bad?

A point is a point is a point on the scoreboard.

It just facilitates a basketball style game. Personally I'd love to see them outlawed.

It already is.

There was some bellend on the socials a couple of days ago (according to #2 son) who said if he got 3000 likes he'd shout out "180" during the snooker. Top bantz.

Won't be long until they have the audience soundproofed away from the action. It's ridiculous how much noise is made during shots now

Not a fan of Mark but feel gutted for him missing the black. Wu Yize looked wobbly but kept it together. Think he will beat Murphy well.

Ipswich join Coventry in the Premiership next season.

One of Millwall, Southampton, Middlesbrough and Hull to join them.

Missed the 100-minute frame.  Shame, I usually like them
