As has been mentioned before has gaa got any commitment from tv3 with regards to coverage in large areas of the north. Where even if u have sky you can't get it.

have to agree there Bailestil, very poor or no reception of RTE and worse for TV3. This should have been addressed in the negotiations for this deal - perfect time to get some commitment from the hoors.

Where are you that you can't pick up RTE or TV3? I'm in Belfast and have RTE, TV3 and TG4 all with perfect pictures coming from the aerial

gettin stuck behind slow walkers on the street

you can never get by them--u go one way and they stick their big holes in your way

especially if its rainin, cold or your late

Didn't get stuck behind this guy, but had to stay behind him for the laugh...

Was walking over into town from the Odyssey car park yesterday morning and this fella in front has the Ipod in. He obviously thinks he's letting out some wee silent ones but you should have heard the noises coming from this fella's hole!! Was funny enough when me and my mate were walking behind him but was 10 times better when he did it when there was about 10 of us waiting at the traffic lights!! Great laugh to start the day!

(Sorry that doesn't grind my gears buh had to tell you's about that one!!)

does anyone have odds for the fight?

also does anyone have odds for the eastman duddy fight? think eastman might be worth a few quid if the price is right. would be surprised if bookies leave themselves that open again though after the dunne martinez fight.

Mayweather  1/2
Hatton         13/8

Duddy          1/4
Eastman       5/2

Hatton/Eastman double :)

was thinking the same thing myself. not a definite but a pssibility. £5 double will pay out around £45 on those odds. £5 double on mayweather eastman pays out around £25, again not bad.

does anyone think duddy will win?

Well I'm gonna bet against him cause I think Eastman is good value at 5/2 but if Duddy has a good night then he should beat Eastman. Eastman's getting old now.

See there's still plenty of ringside and balcony tickets going - Kings Hall isn't the biggest venue in the world and it looks like he's not gonna sell it out.

Just realised we wont actually have it in our house as the virgin media package doesnt hve sky box office so will probably have to head into the Sports Cafe to watch it as its staying open late, but that will mean heading out before it and drinking then as well and probably being too tired/pissed to actually see and enoy it.  Any chance you could get an online stream to it?

As regards the fight, would fancy Mayweather to win on a unanimous points decision, along with everyone else though I hope I'm wrong.

You sure Virgin Media doesn't have sky box office? I think its on channel 505 or something. I hope so anyway cause I was planning on watching it in the house. Found this on the website too:

http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/dtv/sports_channels.html

What does anyone think of Mayweather's 10,000 punches in one training session? Looked like they weren't much of a punch!! I don't think Hatton will be worried too much if he gets hit with 10,000 of those!!

Hatton has to be worth a few quid i think - Mayweather's just too cocky!!

For me I was the fence - I know a few county players and can understand why the few quid would be nice to have. On the other hand, I don't like the idea of pay for play - and in my opinion that's what it is.

The thing that's annoyed me is the GPA and the situation they but everyone in, ie. the strike. In answer to the question of what is pay for play I'll pose another question...

What was the strike? Seems to me it was the opposite of pay for play - ie. No pay, No play.

too right, Keane is due to be the next Bobby Robson of the management world - great player, shocking manager

Ah, a sensible assessment. Robson was in fact a far greater player thann Keane and a total loser as a manager - yet he still gets jobs (Sheff Utd are his latest to run down the snake) and so will Keane after Sunderland wise up - because some fools never learn and in soccer and "names" get these appointmnets all the time. Never has so little been known by so many etc. etc.

By the way I din't mention McShane at all in my thread as I was afraid of being seen to agree with Dunphy on that issue.

Leo, some confusion there maybe? Looks like the initial post was about BOBBY - when you mention Sheff Utd I assume you're talking about BRYAN?

Agreed about Bryan Robson though - great player - brutal manager!!

Does Tony's job not preclude him from working with club sides apart from his own ?

What's his job? i'm talking about 10 years ago when he was with us

What's Tony Scullion doing these days? Seen him on the side line at the Railway Cup final just past. He took us back in the day for a while and was very good - probably the best motivator I've ever worked with!

Its not too bad at all I think - from 4 to 5.30 or so on a Monday and Wednesday is my time.

The bonus thing is that when it does get a bit busy there's always a few young females to have a look at!!  ;)

DirtyDozen12,

If you have a car the gym out at Jordanstown Uni to do good price. Its £50 for the year for non-students and then £2 every time you use the fitness suite. Its handy for me cause I'm out there twice a week for evening classes.

Only thing is they don't have a swimming pool but the gym is top class - just been done up this summer.

My mate is a member in the Spirit one above the Holiday Inn. He says its good too. Paying about £35 a month I think and only had to sign up for 6 months.
