Change of scenery? Really? From Madrid to Manchester? He came for one reason. A huge payday.
He has zero interest. He won't head the ball, he won't challenge for the ball. He's allergic to playing two games in a row. He cannot be constantly injured or else Utd need to shoot their medical team.
He won loads with France and Madrid, with that experience he should come in and change that team. Like Cantona, Like Keane, like Vidic. But he has no interest. Madrid off loaded him. They knew what they were doing.

Yes really,  a decade is a long time at any club and Real Madrid was hardly paying him peanuts in his long spell with them.   Having looked it up "won't head the ball" and "allergic to playing two games in a row" is two myths.

Cantona, Keane and Vidic played in a strong team with a winning mentality much like the Real Madrid team that Varane left.

Ok Mrs Varane

Maybe so, but don't triumph a republican background then bend over for the pound to get off a person involved in a organisation who carried out attacks on the GAA.

Lucy Letby killed God knows how many babies. She still got legal representation and nobody here took issue.

Is Irvine worse than her??

Everyone would have taken issue if the defending senior barrister was also a public face of Barnados or some other similar vunerable children charity. That would have been a f6cked up scenario and media and maybe gaaboard (WTF thread) would have and should have called it out.

I was a small part of a serial child killer defence team several years ago so I understand the 'everyone needs a defence' angle.

The pound rules Joe. I think everything he does and says is about enriching himself. Podcasts are entertainment. Let's not lose sight of that.

Should be down to 9

No. If the referee did his job and called the foul against Gordon the Trent yellow never happens.

Dunno. He's a lucky duck. But if he's sent off the game is still 0-0. So could be argued all sorts of ways.

Koepka moved from 5th to 7th in the Ryder Cup list, which is final now. Only top 6 are automatic.
Scheffler, Wyndham Clark,  Cantlay, Harman, Homa and Schauffele being the 6 qualifiers.

Will be very interesting to see if ZackJ picks Koepka. He's been pretty anti LIV, but I guess he will pick him, but nobody else from LIV

Is the Ryder cup not between the two tours? Koepka is ineligible if he's not a member? That was my understanding.
It's the PGA of America which organizes the Ryder Cup on the US side, not the PGA Tour. The PGA of America also organizes the US PGA major. A third organisation, the US Golf Association organizes the US Open.

So the LIV golfers are no longer on the PGA Tour, but are still members of the PGA of America, so are eligible for the Ryder Cup. Albeit the PGA of America could, arguably, have amended their qualification rules to award points for LIV events, but they didn't. So Koepka was the only LIV player anywhere near qualifying automatically because of his performance in the majors.

On the other hand it is the European Tour (DP World Tour) which organizes the Ryder Cup on the European side, so most of the LIV golfers resigned from the European Tour making them ineligible for the Ryder Cup

Ok get you. Thanks.

Convicted murderer Thomas McCabe on the run for the second time https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-66620748

Convicted murdered on the run for the second having absconded before. But we let him out on day release again after recapturing him. I've said it before and I'll say it again. NICS is full of stupid c***ts.

Why did Madrid sell him? We needed 24 year old Varane not this injured shithead, posting in performances, picking up a wage. A washed up goon.

Change of scenery and to try a new league.   Shithead usually means stupid or compulsive liar.  A goon is stupid/foolish or a violent, aggressive person who is hired to intimidate or harm people.   Did you just throw in random words there to form a sentence?

Varane has been  a very underwhelming signing.  I was expecting. a bit of aggression and  attacking the ball at  set pieces , but  he does neither

He reminds me  of the big  tall lad that's thrown into full  back at u-14  level , just because he's tall. Not for his  ability

How would in their prime Rio Ferdinand or Gary Pallister do by playing in the current Manchester United team? and I mention those two because were tall chaps and not overly known for their aggression and attacking the ball at set pieces.

Martial isn't a United player, Antony, Dalot, AWB and Varane also.

Still huge problems and they continue to be shite in the market.

Has won numerous La Liga, Champions league titles and is a World Cup winner who is a Manchester United player if he isn't?
