Surely the GAA have scored an own goal here. I know some people like to complain about the lack of coverage but this could have a big effect on the overall attendance. Neither teams have got a huge following and the fair weather supporters now have their excuse for not going.

But if you don't go you'll have to listen to Jerome, Jarlath & Martin...

I'm expecting a capacity crowd  :P

I have recruited approximately 20 people into Sprint and every single one of them lasted at least three years, up until last month that is when one of my recruits got sent for a drug test and failed it, has was sacked on the spot and I just found out that another boyo of mine got let go this morning for the same thing, we recently introduced a new policy and now we are subject to random testing. I dont care because I  never did them in my life but I know two bhoys that are thinking of going out on short term disability for a couple of months to make sure that nothing gets detected if they get tested, these two clowns make serious money and are afraid of losing their jobs.

This new policy is wreaking havoc.

Just a query, but would you be able to claim passive smoking..?

The fixtures seem ludicrious, Mayo wont have a game now until July 7th. IF, and thats a big if after yesterday they go on a bit of a run they will have a game EVERY week potentiall including meeting a well rested provincial champion in the quarter final.

Well, thats the advantage of winning your provincial championship games!!  Beggars can't be choosers  ;D

Not remember back in the day when you lost in the provincial championship that was you til next year??  :P

What is the actual rule if ye swing for someone but miss or is you did as Mugsy did and slide 5 yards to trip somebody but miss him?

Don't have a rule book handy but striking and attempting to strike carry the same punishment - i.e red card; i'd then assume they would carry the same suspension.

an adult out of spite preventing two young children from playing football!!.
.......
preventing children playing GAA is not the way to promote the GAA especially when other sports are more readilly available now and they will only be too glad to take them.

No-one is preventing, or wanting to prevent these kids from playing football!!! They are currently members of a gaa club offering them the chance to play football. It's the transfer that the qualms are about...
