So we get half of Cavan. Tough draw.

Yeah but it's the Hurling stronghold and mostly water.

Did the manager make the right call playing Tuohy over a player who has been with the panel all year?
It's a tough call that many managers face.

Yes, without doubt.

Well I would imagine its not much of a rumour/secret seeing as how Brian Mc Guigan wrote about it in gaelic life last week stating he was on a committee set up to find a new one

He should give it a go himself. It'll stand to him in the future as a pundit if nothing else......wear the jersey and all that.

The GAA is a national organisation. Should we in the South drop our flags and anthems? Or maybe we should all sing along to Ireland's Call? That'll get the Unionists on board...

It is a National organisation it's even an International organisation but it's not a state organisation.

The GAA should have it's own flag separate to that of the State. The GAA is an All Ireland body and the tricolour and the Anthem do not reflect that as
they have been hijacked by the State.

Change the flag and drop the Anthem for the sake of the GAA even more than for appealing to people.

I hate the word Protestants being used here. The issue is Nationalism not religion.

It's the right call for both teams.

In saying that, with EC beating Omagh and Clone handed points it makes a joke of the league.
I suppose it was lucky neither team were fixed to play bottom of the table teams.

tommo2 as 2014  league champions killyclogher beating dromore would not be a big shock they have been one of the most consistent teams in tyrone 2014 and 2015 games between them and dromore are generally close affairs although last year wasnt expect a closer affair friday

I think Dromore beat killyclogher comfortably in first round in last years championship but Killyclogher won the league final against them. Maybe revenge and hunger played a part. It might be on Dromore's side this time as last time they met Killyclogher came away with medals.

I hope your not serious here. A club needs this to cover the costs of providing facilities like this. For the crowd that was there £750.00 is all you get from the county board. That might just cover the tea and sandwiches that the clinger ons devour throughout the coarse of the 2 games.
Every club does it. Just our lads push it harder. At least we pay for our own ground unlike some others, and I still don't begrudge then the quid.
Our changing rooms do need upgrading but I have heard they wont be done unti lthe stand is being upgraded in 2 years, but they are still better than Pomeroys, which is still a fantastic venue for big games

No, i'm not serious but if it was in Pomeroy I'd buy 10 tickets happily  ;D

Would love to have Philly play for us, Ricy Mark2

Ricey was never physical though. He rarely put in big hits or busted out of challenges. For some reason he would have you terrified before it came to that.

By the end of the Tyrone Game Fitz had played all his cards. In order to surprise he went a bit mad as he had no surprises left. I do think that after two years he has been
brilliant and his decision making has been first class but Sunday was one game too many. I expect him to look at a constant first 15 next year.

you need to let Limerick go, its over, cannot be changed. I've watched Mayo, Kerry, Dublin, Donegal and Tyrone (top 5 teams in the country) live on a few occasions in the last couple of years ( ie their current squads) and each are as cynical as each other. The holding, dragging etc, there isnt much difference. Diving, sledging is Tyrone's baby by a distance. You're calling out players like Donnacha Walsh, Crowley to add concrete to your vendetta, its fairly pitiful in fairness. This is school yard carryon...youse are the worst, no youse are the worst. I'm waiting for one of you guys to say their da could beat another man's da in a fight .

What Philly McMahon done to Donaghy on Sunday is beyond the pale. He needs the book thrown at him. Any other player gouging a man's eye the same.

I have no idea what this is about.

Welcome to the three-consecutive-Championship-wins-against-Kerry-in-Croke club Dublin, better late than never! ;) :P

No question that the better team on the day won, though Kerry tactics significantly contributed to their own downfall.

Would tend to agree with Lynchbhoy on the Mc Mahon incident, though raking a hand across an opponent's face should be punished on its own ugly terms... Still, could have been so much worse, had he any Tyrone connections! :-\

Might be due to the victims Tyrone connections ;)

i do begrudge Carrickmore the half time draw. For all the positives the venue offers I know I'm going to have to give them a pound and maybe 2 if I only have a 2 pound coin.
And when I get in the turn style before my accompanying Gaels I might be in a position to buy their draw ticket for them. Hardest money I ever part with.
