I just don't see McCurry as a top forward to be honest, he can't really win his own ball and beat men.  He usually scores when he is simply given a pass in space, we need more than that.

Agree I think him and mc caliskey will both crumble under pressure form here on in. Hope I am wrong.

I was impressed with some of the scores McCaliskey kicked against Donegal. I don't think he'll crumble.

Far to inconsistent, he was awful against Sligo. has scored some great points but missed some absolute sitters.

Will be our downfall yet, I tell thee!

Croke park won't be a factor for monaghan, talks cheap at this stage amongst all the mystic megs, we'll find out whos better come Saturday, pressure on monaghan for sure but if they want to show they have really improved then its now or never

I think if you have Hill 16 supporter clubs coming out and praising you you have done something badly WRONG!

Basically saying thanks for coming down, giving us a good day out and taking your beating. How patronising, Fermanagh players were going down to win and would be cringing at some of this stuff going on in the aftermath!

Hope some other ulster team gets a craic at them this year and there won't be much praise coming out of the hill

I think it's a year or so too early for Tyrone in their rebuilding process, to get past this 1/4 final test. Tyrone are playing a similar familiar cautious game, the new red hands are a work in process in replacing the familiar established characters who have left the squad. I don't think 'Big Sean' can be the match winning  inspirational leader on his own against this Monaghan team, most every other Tyrone player is manageable. I think we have Tyrone's number for this game, we have been  working up to this for 8 years,  so we may as well stick the boot in with a vengeance while Tyrone are at this transition. There's no championship voodoo at play any more, that was put to rest last year, a hefty stake through the heart before sunset in Clones did that trick, albeit in nervy circumstances.

I think there is quite a bit of pressure on monaghan here, if they don't do it I think their bubble will burst! If they have been building for 8 years as you say for a quarter final against a poor enough tyrone team that says it all really about where they are at

I always loved the red shorts with the white tops but I just think we look a bit weak or pale in the all white.
Who makes this decisions?
Of course there are so many other factors

I don't know how true it is but I heard somewhere that they paid someone to tell them that an all white strip was better for some reason stupid like cause it was all white that opponents found it more difficult to tackle them?? lol

You being serious?!

I'm deadly serious - Maybe someone with some inside information can tel us about when and why Tyrone started wearing a non traditional all white strip?

Slippery when white

I think cork supporters might disagree with the article after the weekend

Except Banty won f**k all!

Can't believe someone is complaining about Ryan's interviews. Of course its his job to play things down to the media to keep the hype away from the game away from his team. the more the media see it as a walkover for Kerry the better for Kildare.

He will be firing up his team for a shock behind closed doors and have them believing they can do one on Kerry.

Can someone beat Donegal and Tyrone as soon as possible. The way they play is awful to watch. Armagh tried to mimic them this year and maybe if Tyrone and Donegal get well beat Geezer may decide playing football would be better. 14 men behind the ball is like watching George Graham's Arsenal.

Armagh won the All Ireland in 02 based on a defensive system. It wasn't as defensive as the modern defensive sytstem by Donegal. but it started the ball rolling.. Tyrone soon followed.

Every team needs a defensive system. It has just gone too far. 9,500 watched Armagh play Galway a couple of weeks ago. If Armagh do not develop an attacking system there will be quite a few less watching next year. Besides a defensive system can only take you so far. Ask Cavan under 21s of the last few years.

True. Cavan done enough to win 4 Ulster but didn't have real quality forwards to go beyond that.

The style Cavan played was mainly down to Peter Donnelly, who was a full time coach in Cavan. He would have been on the Tyrone panels who won All Irelands and was familiar with that syle of Football.

Lol quit talking out of your ass peter Donnelly was a strength and conditioning coach I hardly think terry hyland listened to him with regards style of play lol

He definitely had poor first half and then improved dramatically. Potential to be our main man and I hope it all comes good for him. It is vital that a player of his skill, commitment and drive lead the way as the next generation.

Think he has yet to fully click this year hopefully it happens in croker

will Mc shane be available to play. I heard the game was to be put back because of him
#641
Lucky he isn't on the clonoe starting 15 or he probably would have followed the derry generals orders and pulled out for their big championship run..........oh no wait!

Donegal, Monaghan and Cork all ahead of us
#643
if this guy is really from tyrone i'm switching counties now, what a tube
