Would the coroner not have picked up on any foul play when the autopsy was done ?

Good point.  Surely if foul play was suspected, then the post-mortem would have confirmed that.  The young lad was found naked in a storm drain, I'd be pretty certain he did not go there on his own, or as someone said earlier, his body was placed there.  Public Enquiry needed, it is beyond weird at this stage.  God help the poor mother, horrific.

Was he not seen by members of the public cycling naked through the streets? Or is that incorrect?

I like McIlroy and he has a lot of haters on here, but what's the deal with Sky calling him the greatest player of his generation? Is that not a bit OTT at this stage of his career or is it to do with all the defections to LIV?
Very subjective and I don't think anyone stands out definitively and there's be very much recency bias in someone calling for it as this moment, as win or lose, there's no doubt Rory is in great form.

To analyse, you'd need to define who are the other successful golfers 'of his generation', then compare
- major wins
- pga tour wins
- career prize money
- no. of weeks as World no.1
- I'd even throw in Ryder Cup WLD record for US/EUR golfers given the intense pressure of that comp, although less important than the others

And probably a bit early to be calling it.

In the post woods/ mickelson era I think it's either Rory or Koepka is it not? Admittedly I'm using major wins as the barometer here but still.

My moneys on Truss for the leadership vote. Think it'll be a Truss/javid run-off.

When chief advisor Cummings  committed self sabotage, Johnson lost most of the strategic and tactical intelligence that had propped up his leadership.

Carrie Antoinette forced Dom out. He had ridden out the barnard castle fiasco.

I suppose we'll wait and see and compare it with the next leader.

I think Johnson as pm is a significant plus for the yes vote.

He is and isnt. Obviously he doesn't rate that highly among the Scots but he is a charismatic character who has mixed with big political players worldwide. He embodies the place of Britain amongst the global elite which the Scots may not want to jettison in favour of being a mid-level nobody state.

A freshly minted sunak or Javid don't have the charisma for a big referendum. Johnson has the bluster and appeal for those who would like him.

Johnson has absolutely no appeal to anyone in Scotland to the extent that Ruth Davidson told him not to come north during the GE as he would hurt the Tory vote there.

The level of disdain in Scotland has only went up since. Him resigning or getting the boot is a hammer blow to Sturgeon and her hope of a second referendum.

Only if Gove is elected PM. I can't see any of the others being more appealing than Johnson.

The Moggster is possibly the only other likely leader of the Tory party that might carry the same disdain in Scotland as Boris after he called the leader of the Scottish Tory's as a low level member of the Tory party but that will never happen.

I disagree. Boris is a populist elected on the back of the anti-establishment surge that began around 2016. I know a few working class Catholics who strongly agree with his anti-EU, anti immigration stance (regrettably). Likewise in Scotland I suspect there's a rump of SNP voters who to some extent admire Johnsons disruptive style.

But why is the cost of diesel still increasing, dollar against the pound?

Inflationary circle. Oil jumps because of a supply issue. Because oil is the foundation of our economy the whole economy starts inflating. Oil continues to inflate because other costs are increasing (wages, equipment, travel, rents, interest on borrowing). It continues until the crash.

Genuine question.

Why are non playing panel members on or near the pitch? How many of these mills see lads hopping a fence to get stuck in. Are there any rules around this?

Treat them like the rest of the paying public - pitch invaders - abd it will stop immediately.
Funny that you felt a need to preface your post with 'genuine question' as if being genuine is the exception.
There is a rule covering the unauthorised entry of non players onto the pitch and getting involved in affairs, Darren Hughes was given a ban for such a deed.
You can look it up in the book.

They get away with it all the time though. AOS came on last year after being subbed for being shit and started a melee. He should have been banned for the final but of course got off cause it's GAA rules

"He's a Castle Catholic and so deserves derogatory abuse as frequently as possible" is the answer they'd give you.
