👍
Great game compared to that muck yesterday.

Hurling has a serious inferiority complex.

Going to games is an outdoor hobby. As in all outdoor pursuits there is a risk of getting rained on. Want to stay dry? Just watch it on tv.
Wrong, playing games is an outdoor hobby, watching outdoor sports is a hobby where 1 can choose to be covered and comfortable or uncovered and uncomfortable and pay accordingly.

Lol I'd hate to see you at a league game on a Saturday night in February.

QuoteChange it to the "Big 5"

There is no Big 5, just a Big 3 .... Dublin, Tyrone and Kerry in that order as I see it presently.

Tyrone have no right to be in that group before Mayo. There's Dublin and then there's three teams a good step after them, nearer the rest than Dublin.

Mayo were beat by Galway, then struggled against Derry, Clare and Roscommon. Of course Tyrone have more of a right to be there over Mayo.

How many times have Tyrone beat Mayo in the championship since Dublin started dominating? Actually, how many times have Tyrone made the final since then? This sport is about what you do, not what you might do. Unless Tyrone shock the island and beat Dublin they will have done little to eclipse what Mayo have done in the last five or six years.

Its not about the last 5 or 6 years. You can't claim they are better than Tyrone at the minute off the back of past achievements. How far back do you go? Let's start at 2003 sure....

I'd rather get soaked at the front than be in the nosebleed seats and dry.

Agree with Bennyharp .To compare the Rte  analysis and sky analysis is like comparing the league of Ireland to the premiership. After an enthralling game last week between Ros and Mayo all Spillane and Brollys analysis consisted of was telling us how bad a game it was. Will not make the mistake of listening to them again

Couldn't believe what I was hearing. I thought it was one of the games of the championship. If the game is a low scoring blanket v blanket he complains. If it's open and end to end like last week he complains anyway.

It's Ireland. It rains... occasionally. Prepare accordingly. Can't blame the GAA for the weather. And the beer is grand! No worse than you'd get in the pub. Irish begrudgement in full display in this thread.
Occasionally?  Are you having a laugh!  In any case I'm Not blaming the GAA for the weather I'm blaming them for charging the same price for covered and uncovered seating.

Yea I was being sarcastic..i actually think the uncovered seats are more valuable as it means you are closer to the pitch no?

No argument with the result, Tyrone were the better side and the game was effectively over after 10/15 minutes as you could see that the gameplan Armagh adopted was never going to trouble Tyrone. Pure stupidity from the Armagh management. The only way to stand a chance was to keep 2/3 men inside and kick the ball in long yet we persisted with a short passing running game which Tyrone are experts at turning over the opposition and breaking quickly. As for Tyrone they are a really joyless side to watch and it's easy to detest their style of play. They have a few great footballers in Harte and Donnelly but the rest are just entrenched in a robotic system. That said, it is very effective and I do believe they will go on and win the All Ireland.

On the contrary I rather enjoyed yesterday

David Brady is a useless pundit - some of the stuff he comes out with is tragic
Last year he was in the middle of telling us how Jim McGuiness was training the Mayo team (day before AI final) only to change his mind live on air as he got a text message.
All he ever says is "As the man says..." - muppet

"If you look at the quality in the Ulster championship, I don't think Tyrone are in the top three [in Ireland]," Brady said.

"I honestly don't and they [Armagh] can seriously give them a challenge. Tyrone, the win over Donegal is probably put into reflection now. That is wasn't as good as you would have made out. It is a big game for Tyrone. Your form and and confidence is dictated by your quarter-final. I think Armagh have an excellent opportunity.
"When teams are successful going through the back door, there was a unity about Armagh and a purpose. You could see them afterwards that they were really embracing each other and I think they can really challenge Tyrone. McGeeney knows Ulster football, Tyrone football, inside out and Mickey Harte vice-versa."

In other news, that Mayo muppet David Brady predicted "an Armagh win - Tyrone haven't been tested in Ulster, and Armagh have the momentum..."  Why are clowns such as that afforded the oxygen to spout such drivel?

Haha I actually forgot about that. Thanks for giving me the laugh.

I don't think there are enough scores in that tyrone team to beat dublin. I am hoping they give them a much better game than monaghan though.

It is hard to know where either team really are in saying that though. Dublin have been impressive but i don't think they are as good as they have been. Monaghan struggled with down who tyrone made look very ordinary so how much we read into today i am not sure. Should be interesting but like i say hard to see enough scores in tyrone. Big test for them.

What have Tyrone to do to banish this crap about not being score to score/are a defensive team/ have no forwards etc.

Put up the biggest cumulative score in Ulster since 1940. Have averaged 23.75 points in the championship this year.
